No one in Madrid wants him and haven't done since 2018. I find it really interesting that most of the comments on here are overwhelmingly positive towards GB. I suspect it is because we are golfers and understand that golf is great way to switch off and be present in something totally absorbing and addictive. Spanish footy fans give GB a tough time because they are not into golf as a culture, so they don't get it...they make the mistake of thinking that playing a lot of golf detracts from GB's ability to perform on the pitch, when it is likely to be the opposite.Some of his team mates, meanwhile, are out clubbing and driving Ferraris around and they don't get any grief. Go figure. GB comes across as a really well grounded, decent bloke who just happens to be a very talented footballer. He has always been a confidence player too, so interesting to hear him talk about how he feels when the Real fans give him the whistle. Imagine if they warmed to him and got behind him.

We don't whistle you for playing bad, the whistles are a result of the apparent lack of compromise with the club. You will forever be a Real Madrid legend, I just wished you had more compromise and sacrifice for the club and don't view playing for the club as a ''JOB'' and more of a blessing.
