EXCELLENT review! Which units do you find to have the lowest noise floor? I can't stand the hiss on my Monk anymore. The Sunflower and Panatrem really nail the swirl here.
Having an impossible time deciding between the red mountain and sunflower. Any thoughts? Really wanting a nice subtle harmonic trem that can sit in the background.
I use the Red Mountain on my board for the simple reason that it gives me exactly the functionality I need and nothing I don't. I want sine on harmonic/volume and I want chop, which is what I use the 1 preset available for. But, IMO the Sunflower is a better trem pedal overall and if I were choosing between one or the other I'd go Sunflower. You get the same features, just a different interface, and the Sunflower sounds are on par or better than the Red Mountain. I don't think you'll go wrong with either one, they can both do subtle harmonic well. Sunflower has the added benefit of being able to blend standard and harmonic trem, so you can even have a mix between the two if you want. Both are great.
This is an awesome and thoughtful response, thank you! I just picked up a sunflower. I had a flint and have been missing the harmonic reverb from that, so hopefully this will at least help with that.
I appreciate these shootouts! I love harmonic trem, I have the Vagabond and I'm always interested in how they all stack up against one another.
