My only experience with Peter's music is via the live album. This may be the perfect time to re-immerse myself--but via the studio albums.

YES! These albums are so wonderful from start to finish, so many AMAZING songs that didn't make it to Comes Alive! Stream and then jump on the vinyl set while we have it! For a taste of one of my very favorites, check out "The Lodger" from Wind of Change! Just one example of the stellar tunes on these albums!

Congrats on adding some more content to your label, Shane. I'm a HUGE Intervention Records fan and have a lot of your releases. I'm not a giant Frampton fan, but this might be an opportunity to get to know Peter's work better. Cheers!
Why did you have the masters plated at RTI, but pressed at "Gotta Groove"? Why not have them pressed at RTI as well? (not complaining, just trying to learn more about your process)
Just curious, was there a reason you didn't release "Somethin's Happening"? Wasn't that released before "Frampton"?

I had a great, long run at RTI, and those folks made amazing records for me for years! But Gotta Groove is the place for me for pressing these days! I work directly with the owner Matt Earley, they're as fanatical as I am about quality, and I'm thrilled with how we work together. Still love plating with Dorin at RTI, so it's the best of both worlds for me now! This set wasn't intended to be comprehensive obviously, but a representative sampling of Peter's studio work in that period. I think we nailed it!

Why did you guys skip his third album Something’s Happening?

Never intended this as a completist set, but rather wanted to chart the artist's evolution from Humble Pie to solo superstar ... I felt these were the essential albums in that regard and so did Peter and his team. We can revisit down the line!
