Two years back when the students went to purchase new edition of NCERT it was not available everywhere and many students purchased the old edition only and prepared for the exam, all over India. The option of that particular question which was given bonus marks (after consideration with expert committee only) has word to word taken from old NCERT and nowhere it is mentioned that old NCERT book should not be referred for the preparation of examination. In the previous years also bonus marks have been given in NEET UG when the question framed itself was ambiguous. To have natural justice it is better to DROP THE QUESTION and award zero marks for all, then it would be justice for the students who have read from either old or new edition.
