I just discovered this video. Your system is a breath of fresh air. I'm astonished with the simplicity, clarity and yet all-I-need-to-include-in-my-journal content. You really opened a new perspective for me, thanks.😊
Love the simplicity of this. Your notion of "informative" data collection resonates with me. The book badge idea is brilliant. Just wish I were creative and software savvy enough to come up with my own. Great video. Very thoughtful.
Maybe I'll make a video talking more about them in the future but for now here are several examples: "There's something in my eye" means that the book made me cry. "Just one more chapter" it was an absolute page turner and I couldn't stop reading. "Magic like no other" means I've found the magic system very unique and interesting. Hope it helps! 😊
Love the simplicity of your book journal! ☺️ sometimes these can get to be overwhelming. You’re the first person to do something I haven’t seen anyone else do with the book badges. I love the idea! Thank you for sharing your journal with us!
The badges are a genious idea! I also don't really like rating books on a star scale since it doesn't make much sense to me. Really nice and simple journal ☺
It's amazing how much you've done with A6! As someone who's not really artistic and doesn't have the patience lol, your journal is simple yet still very neat and pretty. I'm still trying to find my comfortable size and I'm thinking of having both A5 and A6 next year. I started with A6 for purely functional bujo and I really liked it, but sometimes I wanted to yap and there's not enough space. I tried A5 only but it's not practical to carry and idk, I found myself not reaching for it. Your journal is giving me much to think about :)
Thank you! 🤍Yes, but it’s pretty rare. I only use positive badges, so if I didn’t enjoy anything about a book, I simply don’t give it any. More often, though, I’ll just DNF those kinds of books, so they don’t end up in my reading journal at all 🤔
Like many others, I am also super intrigued by the badge idea! Do you draw the images yourself? I have a drama-journal and now I am so tempted to make something similar for that!
Can you share a couple examples of what the “badges” say/mean? You only said you liked them, but didn’t provide your viewers with more information. I couldn’t see them in detail based on your camera angle. Thanks!
Of course! "There's something in my eye" means that the book made me cry. "Just one more chapter" it was an absolute page turner and I couldn't stop reading. "Magic like no other" means I've found the magic system very unique and interesting. "I want to be their friend" means that I loved the main characters and being in their company while reading the story. I'll consider making a video where I explain all of them but hope it helps for now! 😊

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it 😊
You have a point about the "Book of the year spread"! It definitely can get unfair towards some books.
Would love to hear more about your badge and what each means. Thanks for sharing.

I 100% need to make my own badge system now, that is soo cute!

The idea of the book badges is absolutely brilliant! Star ratings are also not for me, so I completely understand⭐
Thank you! I'm glad I'm not alone 🤭

Thank you so much! Have you thought about trying B6 size? It's a great middle ground between A6 and A5! 😊
@ I have but sadly it’s a very rare size to have here so there’s not many options :(
Love your badge system! Such an interesting way to notate what you liked about a book. Do you have any books that have 0 badges?
Thank you! 🤍Yes, but it’s pretty rare. I only use positive badges, so if I didn’t enjoy anything about a book, I simply don’t give it any. More often, though, I’ll just DNF those kinds of books, so they don’t end up in my reading journal at all 🤔
I loved The Tainted Cup! My whole book club loved it too
Book badges are an amazing idea
It was so good! Can't wait for the next book to come out!
Like many others, I am also super intrigued by the badge idea! Do you draw the images yourself? I have a drama-journal and now I am so tempted to make something similar for that!
I make them with Canva using the images I find there! 😊
