My man dropping knowledge, kudos. Interesting point from the forerunner patch notes I don't think came up was Season 5 new map for towers, and the current "Ingrid" map takes the place of the current Keep map. Good stuff for seasons to come and shifts in the meta...
@@rando56 I saw that last night! I'm VERY happy they're doing this. Aside from limiting Ingrid abuse it should shake things up and keep each season feeling fresh. I love it!
She's VERY strong but also beatable, like a lot of things in this game it can feel impossible until you use the right strat. Hopefully this helps some folks let go of the Ingrid hate 😂 and get some retribution
I do not know if this is on purpose or just slipped through but i am kinda missing the key strategy that take place here besides “just use maw”. Maybe i am wrong, but probably this counter works so well is the main weakness of ingrid: the attacker controls her switching between solar and stellar mode. Between switch is a hole in her dmg output where you can sneak in units for burst dmg.
@@Ninyth I discuss the strategy briefly in the first part of the video, but I didn't get too granular with it because there's an explanation before each fight. Triggering the mode switch and/or getting her into Stellar mode does make a huge difference. Excellent point!
Would be curious to see how to actually deal with the team im running. Ingrid - Carn - Reg - Greed - Arro. Because i genuinely have no idea how to beat a carn/ingrid/greed comp that is using a cheat death tank
@@SlippySlippy I've beaten these teams but not consistently. If I can find a way to do it that's repeatable I 100% will share it. I think unkillable tank + Lili/Carnelian is the apex of this particular comp and it's a real headache no doubt
We just squeaked into overlord this week. Talk about a wake up call ingrid everywhere and only 5 of us probably have BP to match you. This fight going to hurt some feelings
The "go fuck yourself" is such a satisfying thing to say against ingrid teams. Especially beating them while a preatus is there with the rest of the annoying support 😂😂 Always say "fuck you ingrid" when i beat the team haha
They do! I believe it's 10% bonus for affiliating to normal Demon Soldiers and then a bonus that scales based off of awakening level for Demon Captain affiliations. I'm not 100% on the details though, but there are other videos out there that get more granular with the topic. I typically just compare the BP in the affiliation menu to get an idea of what the equivalent BP is for a lord. I.e. I know my Torodor is ~104k BP equivalent even though he displays as 97k BP in the character screen because when I affiliate him to a demon soldier I can see the BP is slightly less than my Hex who is at ~104.5k BP
It's clearly mentioned in the game, just go to manual demon affiliation. I also just compared them to normal heroes like how Blunt did it. I calculated 3k bonus on A0 lords (Aracha and Iovar in my case), 6k bonus on A1 (Laya), and 6,4k on A3 (Praetus). Based on that limited experience, the big awakening bonus comes in A1 (3+3k), doesn't change much after that. Of course the base BP still goes up significantly with every awakenings, but not the lord bonus part of it. Although, I'm not sure what happens A4-A5, I have none of that. : ) edit: Blunt says 7k bonus on A4 Torodor, which makes a lot of sense. Again, my A1 Laya has 6k bonus.
Ok rite off the bat your correct an wrong all at the same time about ingrid. You say what we r all frustrated about and i assure you, its not “because of that map”. Thats part of it but not all of it. I get your video is geared toward the map BUT we are frustrated with her because she (like praetus an Valderon) are completly cracked an broken. The frustration is because you do not even need to use her competently. Literally plug her or praetus into any random crap team and you almost instantly win. Moonton fucked this up massive an did it one lord after the next. At this point i dont think they can walk this back like they did with boreas either. What they shouod do, a complete overhaul of all the completly shit lords (by comparrison) so they can ALL at least he made a little competitive. That way these lords are not so game breaking.
I appreciate your point of view, and I don't disagree - she is definitely on that same level power-wise. The map just amplifies it because she's so well suited for that bottom lane, just like in the arena map. Thanks for watching!!
@@BluntgutsGaming map makes it worse yes, i just wanted to be clear that the map is not the root cause issue (not in my opinion). I think the fix is fairly simple too honestly. Would take alot of work but would be well recieved. They could nerf the 3 broken lords an do a “boreas” but that would be foolish as they arent just heroes ppl Spent to get hug are ancient lords ppl spent wild amounts to get. To me the fix (alongside ur map quam) is to re-work/buff all the other lords to bring them up to competitiveness an make them useable an more “lord like”. If u have praetus or the other 2 broken u use em an they are the #1 source of damage. If u have venoma or aracha for example, they rarely get deployed if ever. They dont get deployed or rarepy do cause they r trash. All of em are really (saving maybe torodor). Lord buff is why they are used. Lord buff is the least of the reasons the broken ones are used. #buffourlords #wewanttoplaytoo
200k BP advantage. It would be useful if you purposefully equipped heroes to match or go only a little over the enemy BP to better showcase results for majority of players
@@kristjanaristefansson9694 I appreciate the thought but that's not how bp affiliation shakes out with demon soldiers vs. heroes. Demon soldier BP will almost always be higher than the defensive team. This is even more true when Maw is involved - as affiliated here he is @211k BP. The teams I'm going against are equipped similarly to the heroes that I'm affiliating. If I were to do what you're suggesting I'd be using heroes for affiliation that were significantly under geared relative to the defenses.
