Ricki Wolfe I would go with you. I find some great stuff. I usually drive by a yard sale on a sunday after they are done. Now days, they pile everything for free out by the roads.

I've said this before, but it's amazing what people in your area throw in the garbage! Absolutely nothing like that here, truly trash on the side of the road with a rare gem here and there if I'm lucky to see it first.

Awesome finds !! No matter how many of these videos I see or how many other dumpster diving or garbage picking channels I watch......it amazes me what people will throw away ! I'm a collector of a lot of different items, when I'm done watching I usually have to pick my chin up off the floor !!! Thanks for a great video ! Thanks for saving things from the landfill !!

FYI that egg basket is listed for $97 on one etsy store, - a newer 'reproduction' is listed for $30+
Also, those two milk bottles in the wire carrier - the carrier alone can list for $30, with the bottles you're probably looking at $10-$15 more.

Absolutely love that you scrap. People have no clue they throw away money. Scrapping is how my oldest child got diapers and milk. Learned about scrapping from my father in law. Memories I will always hold on to.

I have lived in numerous cities and counties in Calif. and never have I ever seen this kinda stuff out on trash day. So lucky you have this kinda cool stuff where you are.

Maybe someone who lives near you would be interested in redoing the furniture. I put a photo on Facebook when I see a piece of furniture I am not interested in. LOVE that you are keeping so much stuff out of the landfills!

We've been busy (including a death in the family) and have been busy lately, and so we're a couple vids behind, but don't worry.. we'll catch up!!! :D :D :D We *TOTALLY HEAR YOU* about people walking in the road - they do that here too - no clue as to why. Missing a brain stem I think. Another great video bud!!! *AWESOME* score with that egg basket!!! Like we say all the time when we're out at garage sales - alot of people have no clue what they have - and sometimes they even know and just don't care.

For someone who does this often you pack a truck wrong. All the little stuff you pick up should go up behind the front seat. This way when you get bigger stuff you can load it through the back. Or if you want to keep loading the way you are put it in neater then you can fit more in.
I understand your gripe about the sidewalk walkers. I'm a driver too so I get it but I have to confess, I do it too. The reasons I walk in the streets are: 1. the sidewalks are uneven/crooked- don't want to crack my head open (good reason) 2. I live in nyc and to throw a sketchy person off guard, my strategy is doing some leap frog action between parked cars and the street (damn good reason)! LMAO!!
I am also drinking MY D&D iced coffee right now because I REALLY need it- it IS Monday! I stay away from Micky D's for other reasons. I love the old egg basket and the milk bottles in their own crate.Also the lil red & white bowl. I collect lil antique bowls like that. I feed my critter crats with them in style. I wish there were places to do that around here. We have one week a year that people throw out trash like that and there is tons of people out scrappers especially. I don't look for resale items or have a vehicle that's convenient to scrap. We just look for items that we can use.
That dresser at the first place you stopped looked pretty nice!
You should have picked up the snow boots they were vintage 80's and the bright colors are very much in style selling very well online. Also the toys like barbies might do very well to have a box of treys for a dollar each at the flea market......great video.....love the iron candle holder put it online it will sell!
Hey Taco Stacks...If you get a piece of PVC pipe from Lowes or Home Depot they have caps you can put on the ends then you can safely put stuff like the rods in it.

Amazing things you find at the curb. People buy too much just to turn around to throw it out.
Would be good to make some business cards and hand them out to some of those owners a card so, if they have more scrap they can call you to take it away.

At about 4:00, you mention there is sidewalk on both sides, but everyone wants to walk in the middle of the road. Two seconds later, you are out ofthe van, and walking down the middle of the road. Lol

Peterborough baskets are made in there namesake which is in NH they are a pretty costly basket if you have the right ones but even the lower end ones bring $10.00 on up now a days.
