It was the end of the taping day for that week. If the lady hadn't matched all 6 in the first round, they would have had two questions in the second round and there probably wouldn't have been time to do the audience match. They timed it out that way. Of course, editing had a lot to do with it, too.
The coifability factor between the two contestants in the first half of the show was OFF THE CHARTS!!!!😯😝 The topiary quality hair helmet and the fierce feathering....OUTSTANDING 😎👍👍👍✅✅
This episode was taped on July 21, 1979. (Sudden Death) The Four SEASONS (Matched Brett and contestant) TEXAS Rangers ($500 match) VACUUM cleaner (Bzzt!, plus contestant) Clint Eastwood is doing a movie with the Jolly Green Giant. It's called A Fistful of PEAS. (3 matches) Nobody pays any attention to the speed limits. The only people you see doing 55 are kids on SKATEBOARDS. (6 matches, including Betty!, plus contestant) I think King Arthur is going wacko. He even has the trumpeters blow a fanfare every time he FARTS. (Bzzt!) The WINDY City ($250 match) Really WEIRD (Bzzt! That was way too open-ended.) CUP of sugar (DING! Why did it take so long to find someone to say what was so obvious?)
Here are the results from this week: Charles gave away the most money at a total of $5,550. Robert gave away $1,000, and Brett, Jamie, and Betty each gave away $500. Brett matched the most with 12 matches, Robert matched 9 times, Jamie matched 8 times, Betty and Charles matched 7 times, and Dick matched 5 times.

Brett had the most matches of the regulars with 12 and Betty for the semi regulars with 11 matches and a Super Match match. Jamie also had a Super Match match and gave away 500 dollars as well.. ;0)
I like how they had extra time at the end, so an audience member could play for 50 bucks:)
They sometimes would talk to star about where they were appearing as well, Vegas, a movie or tv show somewhere

Yea, but they did the Audience match the last time with Charles (and that was only, maybe, a week ago)
Love match game. Used to hurry home from school so I could watch it.
Used to love this and Hollywood squares back in the day
I can't believe they went all around cup of sugar!
That wheel is such a tease

❤❤❤❤
The four musketeers?! Lol
Yeah, no way he was winning on that one. D'Artagnan was the fourth, but I don't see any of that group considering there were four.

Same!😂 The guy had a huge Afro .
I’m surprised Betty didn’t say “the Windy City” since she was born just outside of Chicago.

Then they'd do it again.

She could have a pre mature baby and have it right on sight.
So it could be 3 minutes away from birth lol.
"Vegetables" should have counted, the ruling on this show was pure bullshit sometimes.
Ira doesn't match generals with specific, contestant said vegetables and the panel said peas and green beans..
Really _____? Really terrible clue?
