their main weakness are not able to hit aerial enemies but w'alter "fix" it by having S3 that able to hit flying target.
The same case with Degen, she is a dualstrike guard but her 3rd skill is auto recovery sp
We have this kind of treatment a while ago. Mountain is a fighter but block 2 with absurd sustain; Pozy is a short range sniper with a global-ish sentry; Ela is a trapmaster who deals so much damage even without traps; Degen S3 has no attack SP cost,... It's not rare to ignore your entire archetype gimmick lol, those that do are usually very strong.
@@prd6617 hell their issue isn't even just the aerial enemy, but not being able to punch through the higher and higher defense values we're getting... but walter just says nah just have an absurd DPH :)

But she didn't even come to the briefing
Holy damage, W alter finally bringing in the boom with insane powercreep. Her Mod1 is very needed, giving a massive 60% damage increase, while Mod2 is 10% and 3 5%. As seen in the livestream, her S3 can handle the entire Patriot squad in H7-4 when M3’d and with module - she deals ~120k damage per target with 6 bullets, and takes 24s to fire them all. On a skill with 50sp charge up.
And considering her 3 massive multipliers and 5 hit attacks in S3, and the massive AOE, she scales with buffs well too. Even Spuria works on her, and saving ammo with Chalter talent.
Curious, but I saw some people bringing up the fact that her S3 can hit aerial enemies. I was mostly wondering about this fact because I’m unironically struggling to recall any prominent aerial enemies as of late.
I feel like they were definitely noticeable early on, but as of now the only prominent ones I can think of are the Withering Seeds (plus the things that spawn 3 of them) and some low altitude hovering enemies (like the birds in the MH collab). But I can’t recall much more than that; if I remember that they exist it’s because of the showcases this channel does. I think the Withering Seed spawner is probably the only one that’s been relevant, since they’re infamously annoying to deal with and they were in the first iteration of the CC revamp (iirc).
So in light of this, I was wondering if W Alter’s S3 being able to hit aerial enemies is anything to write home about, considering that aerial enemies don’t feel as common as they used to be. Like I understand the general talks around W Alter rn, but I saw some people also bring in how she can hit aerial enemies with her S3 on top of everything and I was mostly *“Uh, I don’t think her being able to hit flying enemies is the most notable thing about her S3”* and *“Actually, wait, have we encountered any new flying enemies as of late besides the Ch 12 drones?”*
@@Kirby-ms4cf It's mostly just the fact that she'll always be relevant. Bosses like Highmore, Mandragora, the DoS Diablo, Rathalos, Ya, whatever flying enemy they want to bring won't neuter her damage at all.
she is powercreeping but not by as much as people are saying. she achieves the same result as an entire chalter skill, just in shorter time and in a larger aoe, but chalter also doesn't have a module. still a good banner just bc of logos, walter is a bonus

That being said, other than that, I have a suspicion Walter's "giga powercreep" status is going to prove to be far more sticker shock than anything, just like Shu being weird and literally gamebreaking,bbut somehow not singlehandedly ruining the game. DPS isn't everything, and while metaslaves will be very offended to hear that, I'm at least half convinced (from what I'm seeing) that Logos might genuinely see more use outside the most flex-tacular of CC highrisk and DoS type nonsense. At some point, enough to make an enemy dead is enough. Walter's special defenses are more vulnerable than just putting her old self down and automatically getting lower priority, in a lot of cases, and definitely nothing compared to what nonsense Logos can pull on enemy ranged units that aren't hitscan.
And HG has apparently committed to sidestepping its own power bloat by making every event in the last two years rely on some form of highly specific mechanics-based gimmick... Other than DOS S4, when have we even seen any boss that requires these numbers? Pretty much never. They're here because overkill looks great in RUclips/Bilibili showcases.
@@astrid7304 She in fact doesn't achieve the same result as Chalter and Uncle, she surpassed them in most aspects. Her range is way bigger than both of them, her Aoe is just a whole chunk of the map while she can stand basically anywhere and still hit enemies because of her range, she have camo and summons so she is even more safe, her damage output is faster, and bigger than Chalter and Uncle, the 2 can only reach W alter pure damage by Skalter and warfarin and you know how insane that is, her SP cost for S3 is lower than Chalter, abit higher than Uncle but she can turn off her skill anytime while having 40 starting SP, which mean she is starting her skill way faster than both of them, all of these are ontop of being cheaper than Chalter and always attack unlike Uncle.
Now she is even more crazy

Very fair and balanced damage imo, dps kinda falls off on her s3, its not worth the masteries tbh, maybe she needs a new module so she'll be useable in more cases, shes kinda just niche rn, definitely not a must pull, smh my head, will save for Rosmontis instead

Mainly just powercreep getting stronger and stronger, this limited op can solo the entire H7-4 Patriot squad with one S3 when maxed out (although not phase 2). She just has so many multipliers, multi hits and aoe that she deals over 120k base damage per target every 74s. I don’t think anyone comes close to doing all that.
It won't be the end, but Wisaldale definetly marks the beginning of imminent drop in quality which could shake off many players.
With someone this broken HG won't be able to balance future content without doubling down on stat sticks who would put even Pinch Out and Design of Strife into shame.
Because somehow a skill that takes 50 seconds to generate 6 ammo but deals a lot of damage is the end of the world.
Damn I never knew the multipliers. I knew she was stupidly broken from the CN showcase killing Patriot's phase 1 without buffs. I can see one downside of her is that her attack interval in S3 but ngl it doesn't seem all that big of a deal.
Personally I don't think it would be the end of AK either, and hopefully not a drop off as well. I do understand that some games do need a bit of power creep to keep their relevancy and perhaps reel in new players. It has been 5 years after all. Though don't come after me, I don't know how big the cause and effect it'll become with this. ;;

What to be expected, it is just W being W the female operators that love bombing so much, even she is to powerful , u still need other operators to back up her, bcoz some boss deal a real sht dmg far better more utility, not gonna lie her s3 is a very powerful nuke but bcoz that very powerful doesn't mean she doesn't have weakness.

@Dubnius_aaeugh He didn't like the direction the game was heading. He often complained about the powercreep and alot of people speculate that's why he left the game. He didn't enjoy it anymore.

She has free summons which are far better than what Mumu has to offer.
She friggin ragdolls Patriot at LV7 without any buffs, not even Chen Alter, Młynar, or Typhoon can achieve anything similar like that with buff army included. And it's all true AOE skill with the radius of Irl Nuke that hits air targets as well.
You are in disbelief if you think that she isn't “that broken”.
