I have been getting my binders from them for a few years now, and I completely agree! They are without question the most comfortable & effective binders that I've ever had before, as well as good quality & long lasting! (I still have the first binder I ever ordered from them, nearly 4 years later, though true it's become a lil stretched & loose than some of my newer ones, it's still wearable & offers some compression. I just use it as my 'swim/heavy' exercise binder now!)
Yeah, im getting two now, one regular, one size larger for swimming(as theyre swimsafe, id probably only wear a binder and swimshorts instead of something over lol)
This was an excellent review, very useful and informative for me! I already have a binder (but because it was my first binder I got overly eager to buy the first one I saw on Amazon so I don’t think my binder is good quality nor is it very safe. But then again it does bind well so I can’t complain much) but I wanted to buy my afab genderfluid boyfriend a binder too for his birthday! So I’ve been looking for the most comfortable and safest binder since I’ve learnt from my previous mistake with my own binder haha- but because he’s my boyfriend I only wanted to get him the best. I found Spectrum’s binders and thought they were fantastic! Although it’s really helped having someone who’s an owner of one themselves to make a review video showcasing all the features of the binder from a customer’s perspective! Thank you
Ive had a short XL fair skin colored one for a year now. Very comfortable, its been way better compared to gc2b which ive had before. I'm planning to buy a long black one for swimming, and ive heard that the tanktop one is better for people who are bigger chested or not completely slim. I find that the cropped version can crunch up a bit awkwardly if you have a belly, but itd not a big issue imo
I dont normally comment on videos but ty for this review:) my gc2b binders havent been holding up great and ive been really needing to find a new binder, ty
Ive heard good things about these from a few creators so i think im going to try! I was considering shapeshifters but theyre more expensive and i want to see if I even like binding first. Thanks for all the helpful reviews!
I know that this was posted a while ago but what would you recommend when I have like a 74 cm rib when I breath in and around 82 cm chest. Would you size up or not? Thanks in advance, your vids have helped me a lot 0:53
i have one and let me tell you there amazing i have worn them and the way they fit on me and my friend is amazing as well we both are definitely buying from there again someday
Im conflicted if i should get an XS or a S , my size is at the very end of XS ( 32.5 x 29 exactly actually) . Comfort is really important for me but im scared if i size up id be too big
I would suggest sizing up to a S, for the sake of comfort and safety. Your rib size will continue to grow up until you're 25, so (assuming that you're younger than 25) your measurements will still be changing - especially if you're at the very end of a size. I wouldn't be worried about it being too big, because in the video both binders did a great job despite being different sizes. If the S doesn't fit, you can always return it and get a XS (though I understand that could be a difficult task if there are people at home you're not out to and would want to know what you were posting); you could also buy both and send back one, but these binders are pretty pricey, so I completely understand if that's not possible.
I know this video was posted a while ago, but I could use some advice on sizing. My rib is in between a 28 in and 29 in (leaning 28), which is the mid to high end of a XS. However, my chest is 34.5 in, the very high end of a S. I plan to bind quite regularly, and I love to swim, so I might bind while swimming. Any advice is appreciated.
okay so i feel like i can talk about spectrum from a perspective of a person with bigger chest (DD in US bra size, i have over 5 inch [13cm] difference in bust size vs rib size), and a pre-t trans guy who is aiming for the most cis guy passing chest possible. this is the only binder that was able to give me a (semi)passing chest, and it's also very comfortable so it's my go-to binder now. however, i do have sideboob on one side. what i dislike the most is that it's very long, so while it may be helpful for people with even bigger chests than mine, for me the lenght is just unnessecary. it also automatically pushes my chest downwars a bit, instead of pushing it up and creating a cis pecs effect. i am the flattest i've ever been tho so i won't complain too much haha
@@sherienqut6367 i got XS, because it corresponds with my rib size (i was S in bust size) and thats what the size guide reccomends. you sound like you might fall into this size as well, but please, for the love of gods, measure yourself first and chose the size accordingly. you might as well be completely different, and binder size is crucial for comfort and safety. the size guide contains all the information you need, and if you have any doubts, the customer service is (from my experience) very pleasant.
@@mikusuwu420 wow thank you so much for this! :) I was extremely nervous on what I should do and I haven’t measured my chest in a while. I used to purchase binders from gc2b but they gave me horrible rib and back pains as you can imagine since their quality decreased. I wanted to try out spectrum, for them, or wivov. Are you familiar with the other 2? Also a size xs worked for u with size DD?
@@sherienqut6367 i'm familiar with wivov. the binder i have from wivov is super comfortable, no sideboob and the material is very sensory friendly. seriously, i forget i'm wearing it, feels more like a sports bra than anything else. good alternative for a sensory friendly binder if you have no money for the ones made specifically for people with sensory issues. HOWEVER, it doesn't flatten me enough. it gets me down to like A or small B, but its just not enough for me bc i am rather scrawny and a bump this big just doesn't look natural for a guy like me. i think wivov would work for someone with smaller chest, on T, and/or if someone doesn't need to be completely flat. and yes, xs spectrum worked for me!

I have heard of a ton of binder brands and acording to multiple people spectrum outfitters is the best
have you heard of the spectrum light binder? i'm trying to find video reviews for it but i can't find any so far
Reviewing it at the moment, hope to release by the end of next week

I'd say message Spectrum directly to get their view :)

You're a similar size to me, and while I can only speak from my experience, small worked well :)
@@robynholdawayofficial Thank you!
Did you ever get to do a video on the spectrum boxers?
I did! It's on my Tiktok, I may crosspost to here.
Hey I’m wondering if you have done a review of the long chest binder from spectrum outfitters?

Hi, what size did you get? And what size do you recommend me getting if I am a D but I have a very small body and big chest.

and yes, xs spectrum worked for me!
i know this is an older video, but how long is it recommended to wear this one?
also what country are they based in?
Spectrum are based in the UK, and normal guidelines are up to 8 hours
@@robynholdawayofficial Thank you 🙏🏻
Were you between sizes when you measured? Not sure if I should order a size up
Go for your rib size
I was slightly, for me a Small was better than an X-Small as I prefer comfort.
They also ship to India?
Have you ever thought about being a voice actor? I think you would be amazing at it
Thank you! I am 😅. Mostly audiobooks, but also some of the Doctor Who audios.
@robynholdawayofficial lol, that's amazing 😊 I hope you get far
how do i find my binder size if im not able to measure? 😞
Are you able to measure with a piece of string and a ruler? If not, consider what size you are in most clothing. Though measuring is ideal
you can craft a measuring tape my cutting and glueing together long strips of paper
May I ask what size your GC2B binder is?
Honestly not sure, it's about a decade old!
