I'm kinda sad about this. I was looking through things and like "Oh, neh I'm not interested in heatwave" "Team rocket though I'm hype" nostalgia from all the dark pokemon and stuff thinking im getting my second fix of nostalgia after 151.
Now I'm not sure how I feel about approaching it. I'm definitely not as hyped to crack it open.

The more I think about it, destined rivals leaves more opportunity for cool cards. Team rocket is basically a “villain” set so maybe this is more of a “vs” set if that makes sense. Super intriguing to me

It had nothing to do with team rocket. People just made it up from the beginning.

I’m personally glad they didn’t make the set rocket forward , people tend to love to live in the past. Rocket is a been there done that for me 😂, but overall more excited about Cynthia cards and Ho-oh finally getting its love.

Honestly given how cooler Heatwave Arena is compared to Team Rocket I’m glad it wasn’t sidelined by it. Like there’s zero confirmation Jessie and James will be in this…like guys the anime hasn’t used them in a long time, the last Jessie James cards were 2019 and that was solely due to Let’s Go. Since then we don’t have ANY evidence they will ever use them since unlike Misty they’re Anime original characters.
Given the name I really hope Ethan’s Ho-Oh gets the spot light, I feel it would be a sick ETB design especially if they add a nice effect to it
@@Tylerr_Creative I. Praying for Cynthia garchomp sar and rocket mewtwo sar. I honestly realistically was thinking more for the nostalgia factor when it came to the Team rocket set more than anything. That’s why I figured Jesse and James would be in the picture in someway shape or form.
I am concerned about the next two sets. Prismatic was/is impossible to find that I don’t know how I am gonna find packs.
Prismatic is a special set and definitely feels like it was a little bit different of a release. This is a regular series set so there will be much more product available when it comes to this for sure and the same for journey together as well.

@@MediaCallOuts actually he kinda was calling people out about it, not as much showing people to do it. He even came out and said he made a mistake by doing pre-orders for prismatic a little too early and he won’t make the same mistake again where his words I think

Well, the good thing about a main series set is as long as the local game stores do their due diligence. Scalpers cannot get booster boxes from Walmart and target and big box stores like that so that is one plus side to it. 🤷
