- Soldering clay - makes soldering complex components a dream. I love it so much I just ordered 5 tubs! Available now @PepetoolsUSA
Couple of tips for using this if you fancy giving it a try:
- Make sure the joins are clean and do not let the soldering clay into the joins
- Check check check alignment is perfect before soldering
- Use spray flux wherever possible - it helps keep the joins free from clay
- Preheat they clay before soldering - it can be a little bit of a heat sink

Nice making ring 💍. And very nice clay
I love my clay, don’t know what I ever did without it! I literally just soldered very similar w/ delicate bezel…every jeweler should have soldering clay👍
Hi! Could you tell me where do you buy soldering clay?
Fantastic video Lucy
Useful stuff. Cheers Lucy.
Thanks Lucy!
hi. is it ok to use it again? it doesn't become useless after fever?
Where can I buy the clay from in the UK? I've looked at cooksons eBay esty etc but no luck x
I'm surprised no-one has asked this: can less specialized clay work for this purpose? Perhaps more generic clay has less desirable properties in terms of behaving as a heat sink or causing some chemical reaction during the soldering process. But I imagine that typical art store clay might work fine. Have you any experience with such clay?
I wondered as well and researched to find out that dentists use this: Multi-purpose SOLDERING INVESTMENT is ideal for soldering all types of alloys. Comes in a powder and you mix it with water. A 4 1/2 package is about $25.00.

How long will this clay last with use?
I would love this, but postage to Australia is enormous
