I visited Shanghai 10 years ago after immigrated to US 20 years prior. I had some trouble to figure out how to get through the subway entrance while pulling my luggage through. A subway worker yelled at me "蠢 蛋“ loudly several times. The similar encounter happened a couple of times during that trip. Not a single person offered to help. I think about the incident every time when I take subway while I visit another country. Since that, I never wanted to visit the " motherland " I grew up in. I may forget the beautiful scenery or wonderful food about a place, but i will never forget the rudeness. In same token, I always think about the wonderful interactions I had with the locals above anything else.

@@Rynlie 你好，这是根据中华人民共和国法律来区分的。也不是什么新的概念，网上搜一下就有了。华侨是移居海外的中国人及其后代，仍保留中国国籍。 若移居海外的中国人及其后代(华侨或华人后裔)，已加入或已取得居住国国籍者(没有中华人民共和国国籍)，是“外籍华人”。 华裔一般指具有中国血统的华人、华侨后代，也包括与其他民族通婚的混血儿后代。

其实不是很喜欢被作为华侨，最好回国了就是个普通国人而已。另外不回国的唯一原因就是钱和权势不够而已。国外性价比高
