Thanks for the video. I am considering buying one. I am wondering if we can set a scene which uses the HomePod as a music player. e.g. in the morning, if I open the curtain where there is a motion sensor been activated, then HomePod will play my favorite song automatically? Can we do that now?
Yihuan TANG not yet I think... but when iOS13 comes out you can make scenes that include airplay speakers... so you can make a scene that plays certain music when an automation is triggered.
Do you know if u can play music on the HomePod when ur away from ur home ..like if u forgot to turn in on an u want to turn it on for at pet ? Thanks in advance
Quick question, so I use Lutron lighting but in order for Siri to turn the lights on and off I have to be on the same WiFi as my Lutron Smart Bridge, so will the HomePod be able to turn my lights on and off?
I have Alexa and HomePod in the main room of the house and use both on a daily basis. I honestly don’t know what makes me pick one over the other but I will say my kids lean toward using Alexa more often than Siri. I use the HomePod because I have programmed scenes.
Home Hacks HQ I think it is because saying just Alexa to summon her is more human basic interaction. I hope Apple will make as change the summons word as amazon echo already does!
Great video, I have a Sonos Play 5 and have been wondering whether I should switch to the home pod. It does look great but with Airplay 2 on the way I will definitely stick to your advice!
“Hey Siri, play ambient sounds night” Siri: I’m sorry, I can’t open apps here. “Hey Siri, play night ambient sounds” Siri: Now playing night from ambient sounds.
Apple’s website explains it clearly. Hey siri prioritises the devices that heard you the best. They communicate with each other really quickly over Bluetooth and as you may have guessed, the HomePod with it’s multiple mics hears you most of the time. But it can also tell which device you’re using and prioritise that one (especially with AirPods in). When a device is locked or face down it gets ignored and so on
I got it for almost a year now, the most thing that I hared from it is "Sorry, I can't do that on HomePod", how do you call a 'smart' assistant that won't even tell recipe while cooking? The sound is good indeed, but I would rather go with a Sonos that have good sound and a smart assistant. The service on HomePod is extremely limited, who buy a smart speaker just to ask it for wikipedia and to turn the lights on and off the all day?
Thanks, we really enjoyed making it. Except for that moment when I thought I was going to send that text message. I forgot that giving her access to my iCloud account gave her access to all of my contacts as well.:-)
For the love of god everyone, please do not say "hey Siri" every 10 seconds in these videos. My devices are going crazy I'm literally screaming at them to Shut the F up - otherwise thanks for the informative video!
6:43 that was one of the funniest RUclips moments ever to me. 😂 Alexa was going to hate you if that message got sent. 🤣🤣🤣
How she turn off the home lights? Do you need those special lights I’m confuse
Nice choice of Valentine's music, Siri! LOL

You can control your HomePod even if you’re not home
Lorenzo Loconsole yea but only playlist I believe

Almost a year later, how often do you use the HomePod for HomeKit actions?

How far away does it still react?
She hears me from anywhere inside the main living area of the house at the farthest point I am probably 40’ away.
Home Hacks HQ there's hardly any test videos of that

How does it work with your iPhone in the room? Surely saying hey siri is going to set off every device with Siri on?

Where can I buy the lights from
“Uh-huh” and “Hmm”...Is all I really heard throughout this video with my HomePod going off every two seconds 😂
Queen. One Vision 🤘
Good Review Bruh
This just showed me how sensitive Siri is I had this on extremely low volume and my HomePod mini kept going off
Watching this on my iPhone and my phone was going crazy. 😂
I couldn’t finish watching because you kept setting off my HomePod. Thanks anyway...
You have use headphones/earphones when watching homepod videos. Some of the newer videos are aware of this and are editing out "Hey Siri".
📦 Google home pod 2 mini ⚖️

That's a beautiful roll of toilet paper .
echo is now able to use "light" and "lights" so you can have two setups in one room
Hee hee. All of my Home pods get to work when you say “Hey, Siri” 😀
It’s quite annoying, I wish she’d only react to my voice lmao.
my lights are turning green.
6:00 is the epitome of why I buy apple products, they just work better
Hi, Well done very female “friendly” channel for tech 😍 and subscribed

Great video! Thanks! "Do You want me to send it?" ;-)

You’re screaming at devices mate. Relax
That was a happy and romantic man :DD
👍🏽👍🏽
You kept setting off my echo
I would’ve subscribed if this music didn’t remind me of cheap porn.
Lol u look like Phil Collins!!
Ha ha, thanks I guess. I’ve gotten drew Carey before and Scott Van Pelt when my head is shaved but Phil Collins is a new one.
Good luck playing music from spotify and other radio and music !!
You can play Spotify or any other music streaming service on your homepod by using airplay on any IOS device.
