in q10, what if we calculated the area of sector? i got the same answer of 10.7 to 3d.p. but it isn't as exact as 32/3 so would it still be considered as a valid answer? (i calculated the angle of the sector by tan inverse) would really appreciate it if you could reply
Nope, you shouldn't really use the area of the sector method (although that's really creative) because the radius isn't uniform. If you calculate the length of AB, it's around 4.81 rounded up. But the length from B to the point where x = 4 intersects the curve is 4.67 rounded up.
