As someone who has played as a medic in Arma 3 for many hours, I can confidently say this is a great video. I love how it not only covers the technical parts of the medical system, but also tactical tips that I can fully get behind. Nice work!
I don't think I've ever played a war game without being a medic for atleast 20 hours of my entire playtime and since I've started arma I'm so hyped to keep helping people
I usually just go in as a ground troop with extra meds and was helping whoever I could in fights but started running around with an actual squad of medics on the back lines of large scale battles against (AI) enemies and it was a blast sneaking through the city.
There is no culture of asking for help, people just respawn. Thus, it's nice to announce that there is a "fighting medic" around, let him know of casualties (without giving out your exact position, as radio is open to enemy).
A few corrections when you were mentioning the laws of war and stuff: A medic is only protected under the law when he is wearing visible Red Cross insignia. This means that anybody, regardless of their role, is legally a combatant even if they do not have a weapon, because there are no uniforms or helmets with Red Cross markings. Even the Soviet medical bag, which has a white cross over red background, is not legally protected since it is not the Red Cross. Additionally, medics carrying weapons are not automatically no longer legally protected. Medics have in the past, even when wearing the Red Cross, have carried weapons for self defense, such as pistols or even semi automatic rifles. But since Arma reforger does not have any Red Cross cosmetic items, anybody who wants to play medic should certainly equip a basic rifleman loadout, and then carry as many bandages, morphine, and saline as possible (I personally don't find much use for tourniquets so I don't use em). Great video though!
I wish more people would actually play as a dedicated medic and also I wish medics had proper uniforms so your team can identify the field medic and people on the other team would be punished in some fashion for killing medics- non combatants ones at least. On a side note, I love reforger but this game leaves the player lacking (at least for me) purpose I feel and here’s why… As much as I like being classless and configuring my load out to suite me best, it takes away the feeling of being needed specifically in a certain area in combat when you can play as multiple rolls all at once. For example there are people who make their load out with a sniper and an lmg and have mines together! I like how arma 3 let you only have 1 primary weapon slot 1 rocket launcher slot and 1 secondary weapon slot. It keeps it more down to earth. I would like it if reforger changed what we have now to arma 3s style as described above. This would help people really think about what weapon they choose and what roll they want to take on. For me, when I equip an svd I’m playing as a marksman only and the only other gun I have on me is a side arm.
I'll admit, this explains the system better the dev video. Also I'm going to say this again: good gracious is this a good balance between the ArmA 3 and ACE. I've described ACE as "I'd be easier to patch up a real gun shot wound than one in this mod" and default ArmA 3 is better just gameplay wise but I do get wanting that complexity so you can have that feel of being a medic or the tension of trying to patch your own wounds as fast as possible without getting shot again, which was lacking. Here, it's both complex, yet simple enough someone can figure out the essentials by themselves, not to mention the interaction is very straight forward. Good design for interactivity in games or UIs in general is "Don't make me think" and we have that here. I think there might be a better way to go even further into a perfect balance, but thus far I can't think of one.
Try the latest medical mod for hell on earth. I had dudes on the ground with internal bleeding in their brains and no idea how to fix them haha. Gives a mix of blood pressure injector, something to slow heart rate, smelling salts, EPI of course and more. Increasing their blood pressure seemed to do a lot of good though so.

Hey guys I have one question about reforger. I'm planning buy new ntb. Is better CPU i7 than i5 for playing Reforger? RAM 16 Gb and RTW 3050 🙂 thanks for answers 😊
Yeah Reforgers engine finally utilizes more cores so I'd definitely go with an i7. 16gb RAM seems low nowadays. 3050 might be acceptable. Just my opinion.

Medical tents are areas where you can heal heal teammates much more faster and efficiently, medical kit box is needed to heal players in medical tents, equip the box, hover over a teamates injured limb, and you can heal it. This is possible if you are also at an ambulance. Also, if you drop the medical kit or ammo box, you are able to access the arsenal inside it and grab any supplies you need
Id love to see a asian/middle eastern style Map added with a more modernized version of the 3 factions but in the format of (NADF-North American Defense Force/s, ECMF- European Continent Miltary Forces, MEACF- Middle Eastern Alliances Coalition Forces, with a sub faction for each being of a special operations group. Not a fan of this team based stuff. If you get on a good server then it's great but doesn't happen often enough. In previous versions of Arma, I've been playing since 2001, I was always the medic and was a loner sniper and was usually the highest in kills when I was finished. Its more worth to use bandages due to them working on every part and weighing the same as tournequits
Sometimes they can die before the bandage animation is finished if you get there late and its a heavy bleed
This game is insanely realistic holy cow, this game will test your might.

I always try to resupply and end up taking on this role by default, the medic revive system in this game is great.

How do you put items in a first aid kit because when I open it it says 0 everything
I think you need to be near supplies. Load up a vehicle/ambulance with supplies or put some in a backpack near the first aid kit.
