Great common sense we can all use to achieve more with less stress. I will apply this idea consistently. Thank you Mr. Koch.

3:26 - what the great people do with their time vs what the “busy” people do
“Most business life is trivia, we must work hard to avoid trivia and work on essentials”
Essentials > hard to find, we must use time every week finding it😊
    Summary:
“Finding the vital few in the trivial many”

this is the most profound principle I've ever heard. I can't believe that they never teach us this in school. in my 4 year business degree curriculum this was never included You do hear work smart, not hard from some wiseguy around you; but you always think that means dishonestly.. You do need a certain temperament to get ahead. you can't be afraid to break a few eggs to make that omelet. You can't get hung up on people's feelings either, I guess. But this is a high class problem. you need to be at a certain level to worry about underlings and competitors.

Remember what the educational foundation is based off of...
It's never been about 80/20-ing people's lives, no more than it's about helping people find happiness, live above law or become independent. They left that up to other disciplines...

I think he is talking about time management. The principles are "tried and true". Now just to find the crucial tasks to focus your time and effort on. That is the vital question.

Time management does not neccessarily infer identifying the crucial 20%. Time management infers insuring all the work gets done. Somebody who frequently does less than 100% of their work would not be considered an excellent time manager.

All good but Richard didn't tell how difficult to find the 20% vital few ;)

The Prussian General you are referring to in this video is not Von Manstein, it is Clausewitz…

i guess 80/20 doesnt work for anyone surely because they are not using correctly, if hard work works for you , then good but if it doesn't pay off you might consider trying the 80/20
