This defintely was an amazing period in their history. I think Adore, from the photography by yelena yemchuk, to the typeface fonts to the music itself was intelligent, sophisticated, and relevant. It showed an amazing maturity from Mellon Collie. And it's leagues ahead of anything that came (from Billy) after.
Dude, where did you find this video? i've been looking for this entire concert for a really long time... I need the version of BWBW they played... Do you have the entire show?
in Italia, andando in giro, la maglietta di gruppo musicale che vedo maggiormente indossata, sembrerebbe essere proprio maglietta riguardante i NIRVANA... al secondo posto i PINK FLOYD, mi sembra
Adore is one of my top 15 Pumpkins albums… (sorry I can’t choose)…. I’ve heard this song over 1000x…. I would never imagine “crowd surfing” to it…. Not one song on this album should u be crowd surfing to… I understand why Billy dislikes it… It does ruin the show for people like me who get front row but then deal with that crap….
One of their best songs live. The faster tempo is so much better compared to the album version.
Just imagine how well Adore would have sold if it sounded like the play the songs live, including and especially this one.
james made better this live version than the original.......
that "nnnnnnnnnWAHWAHnnnnnnn" guitar line just sends shivers down my spine. Adore is so underrated.
James Iha gives this album that special spice
The E-Bow used to perfection. I can listen to this for years...cant help but close my eyes and be moved by it.
this is one of the anthems of the end of the century

What's your username from? I've heard it before.
Machina????
Agreed
@@oshikiri999 reference to way down by tori amos, actually.
I completley agree. I love photography by Yemchuck in this album. And Frank Olinsky collaborated too
The guitar of Iha in evidence, this is the best version on RUclips.
Definitely the best version of this song.. Wow
Masterpiece, why this never played on the radio I don't understand
MDMA!!!
If the studio recorded song sounded like this live version, it would have. This version kills.
James' guitar...wahwah-things brings even more athmosphere to this song.
Great pocket on drum by Aronoff....D'Arcy's rolling bass, Iha's E-bow....and Corgan on point. Cool version. Best one I've heard.
jakeenan I love the distorted keys towards the end
James E-ha
jakeenan mike garson on the keys very nice touch as well
its definitely so much fun to watch than stuck up chamberlain despite all of his chops.
MUCH better than the album version. This is the best version of this song live I can find. The other mixes have too much drums and not enough e-bow.
All about that ebow
🔥🔥
Bad ass song, bad ass crowd. I swear, smart phones should not be allowed into live concerts!
+WebbyWebs i was just thinking the same thing !!!!
good times...
I love the album version but the way they played this in 98' is out of this world good
Adore
Best album ever
It's wild they played this a ton on the Adore tour, and not once since. It's the most energetic and live-friendly song from this album!
Bc it would not be that awesome without Darcy.

With the sugar sickness
You spy the kidnap kid
Who kids you to oblivion
It's the perfect hassle
For the perfumed kiss
He makes you miss him more than home
You love him
You love him more than this
You love him and you cannot, you can't resist
You love him
You love him for yourself
You love him and no one, no one else
Past sidewalk ashes
A last lovers arc
You come apart to intertwine
It was all so simple
As you watched him move
Across the darkness in your room
You love him
You love him for yourself
You love him and no one, no one else
And the winding vines
The pretty boys dive
And through the pinhole stars
Into the shadow mind
You will lose him then
On some gentle dawn
This boy is here and gone
You love him
You love him for yourself
You love him and no one, no one else
You love him
You love him more than this
You love him and you cannot, you can't resist
You love him...

This song is perfection.
This was a great gig remember it being aired back in 98 and recording it to VHS! Good memories of this era Pumpkins.
it's just so so so so so good. i will never get tired of this song.
D’arcy!! ❤❤❤
Glad to see the crowd moving, even in a little pit, and not just doing the standing-still.
its always nice to see people getting into it besides standing...
This version, and this video, are so badass.
What an amazing performance of Daphne Descends. And I love the keyboard playing by Mike Garson.
Great song from Adore album, though rarely played live !
+Massimiliano Imperiali my best song by them in fact. James with that e-bow is simply incredible to me.
Siempre vuelvo a este tema y con auriculares ...culpa del E bow 🎃🔨
50k views, 2 dislikes. Incredible song and performance.
Those who disliked it should be banned hahaha
The sound of the keyboard is transcendental! 😍💕💖
That ending gives me shivers
Amazing song, album and concert. SP rules!
My favourite RUclips video.
Angry perfect song!
Love this song! Always have!
Put..j'en ai des frissons, cette chanson rentre dans ta tête comme une balle de 368 Magnum !!
Oh what fun! great venue and crowd. and such variation on the album version. cool as 😎
E-bow is awesome - Collected Thoughts
Memories dope . I saw the adore era at Edge night club palo alto with my late great legendary bff cj. Dope
It's post pumpkins with Siamese dream fans. Such a cool mix of things.
The awesomeness of the song made the editors write "daphe descends" at 0:16!
Billy u rock!
Aw man. Back when mommy was a boy. And crowdsurfed to the sound of these guys.
Happy day.
wow!!
this makes me wish i was a couple years older...
this live version alone made me buy an e-bow
It was at Shepherd's Bush in May, 1998.
Dude, where did you find this video? i've been looking for this entire concert for a really long time... I need the version of BWBW they played... Do you have the entire show?
MTV five night stand if you still looking for it
My fav on adore
Better than the studio version!
It's a great live version (I particularly love the sound of Darcy's bass and backing vocals) but I still prefer the studio one.
@@SlowDIIV the studio version Is too slow Imho
Fuckkkkkkk wish i was there😭😭😭
awesome!!! maybe my fav'
Oh, and Matt giving a drum kit a really hard time too. wonder has Jimmy C ever given this one a whirl?
That's not Matt.

Ke belleza 🥵
Where was that show??? Such a great audience 👌👌🤙🤙🤙
autant l album studio fut une deception, autant cette tournée etait completement folle....
>Daphe Descends
God fucking damn it.
"Daphe" haha xD
Does anybody knows the name of the artefact that James Iha uses to make that sustain?
He used an e-bow
Thanks! It is an E-bow as you say... I must have it!
She wore a see through top that entire tour...
wow that really rocked out first time i ever heard it played like this. Also 3:27 guy was fruity 4 sure
Why 3 drummers?
daphe 😂
Waaaaaooooohhhhhaaaaaa
lmao this was on MTV?
D'arcy fermosa
MDMAAAAAA

@Dvicious haha its funnier every time
Have you torrented it?
Christ can D'arcy hear herself!?
Live is better than studio.

mosh is fuckin horrible with this sweet song
thirtyfree it's like a Siamese crowd time traveled to adore era
His voice was perfect for the smashing pumkins style music. But his voice isnt good for this music like this unfortunatly and he messes up the song.
