It’s sad to say cause I’m born and raised in Brooklyn but just by this incredible interview I trust and have high confidence in this coach more then our last few coaches I definitely can trust this process
I am a Kings fan but I really liked the Brooklyn team that was playing HARD all game every game before the whole KD Ky Harden stuff happened. Jordi would love to get back to that and beyond of course, I hope your GM etc do great work to give him a roster best able to do that. I like a lot of the current players already and tbh I really would love to see Simmons get back to his old all-defense and playmaking wizard form! Take care of Jordi, we miss you in Sac already man. Do work out in NY, we believe in you! Thank you for everything 💜 Ps, please trade Bridges to us lmao
And anyone who doesn’t pay attention, this man was our defensive coordinator and he had our team that mostly lacks incredible individual defenders (Fox is VERY good on ball when locked in, Keegan became an extremely solid defender this yr, Davion is “off night” for a reason, and of course Keon but mostly we lack size and length) and got our season defensive rating down from idk 24 or so last year to I think 14th, sorry for the lack of direct numbers but I am close enough lol. With the same players! That is huge! Technically Kings were 8th in defensive rating on the road last season so they showed at times they could, but were 27-29th at home which was embarrassing. In really do believe Nets are going to be a fun team to watch this upcoming season. Even if their record ends up subpar, they WILL compete every game. Y’all got a good one, seriously. I recommend watching the Kings summer league 2022-2023 season mini movie when Jordi coached the team, you will get to know him more and see what he’s about
He's the perfect coach for the Brooklyn Nets. He's young enough to still be able to relate to the players and has experienced coaching at the highest levels winning a gold medal with the Canadian FIBA national team. Sean Marks and Joe Tsai got it right this time.
Great interview. Seems like a good fit. This franchise desperately lacks structure and stability and believe he can supply that. No more flash in the pan hires or signings with stars who don’t want to be here. Jordi feels like an out of the box hire with a different perspective. Then again they are the nets and fired Kenny Atkinson who was already building a good program. Nets always get greedy and go after the shiny toy which inevitably sinks them into irrelevancy. One big ego star away from this guy getting canned I can see it from a mile away but hope I’m wrong.
Fired Kenny Atkinson - a terrific talented head coach - Durant and Kyrie had him fired - how GM Sean Marks keeps his job is head scratching - the Nets are like the Pistons - going nowhere regardless of who the head coach is
I don't envy Jordi. The pressure of being a new head coach for a franchise with an owner that's made dubious decision since he bought the team, an incompetent GM in Sean Marks, a roster filled with spare parts from other teams that has one of the worst win/loss records in the league, that miss the Play-in tournament. The management and the fan base have no patience and want to see instant results. I wonder how many years is Jordi's contract for? The "big apple" isn't the attractive location for, especially families it use to be. It one of the most expensive cities to live in america. There's the immigrant thing and all the problems that entail. Corruption, crime, and the population of rats have increased. The rats have gotten bold enough, lately, to come out in the daytime and harass people that live and visit there. Good luck Jordi...sincerely.

I disagree that Jacque Vaughn is a bad coach. I'll give him an at least an"incomplete" grade. He had to work with trash in his 1st head coach job in Orlando and he inherited trash as a head coach in Brooklyn. It take quality players to make a good team.
