Yeah, he is. I used to hate him cuz I thought he was creepy, and I did everything I could to get rid of him. Even put his name in a homemade death note. But as I played ‘All of you’ from Encanto, I thought of him and that I had treated him too harshly. So I grabbed my homemade life note and put his name in it, and got him out of my bedroom closet. Nowadays, the days I used to hate Ego are dead.
@@VishiahmaYeah, I'm fine now. Me and Ego live our lives in peace and happiness now. Edit: I did try to kill him twice afterwards though. When I get really angry, Muzan Kibutsuji likes to corrupt me. He turns me into a demon without me knowing it. One day, I got very angry because I didn’t get to go on a field trip to the Knoxville sun sphere. I let Muzan corrupt me, and I started torturing Ego with Anri's help. I wouldn’t stop until he screamed. I realized I had nearly killed him after a few minutes, so I decided to get rid of Muzan, by writing his name in my death note, and a very creative cause of death to go with it (decapitated by a small rat.) Then, on the same day, I got upset because we couldn’t go on a mission to find blue lock characters. (AKA a hike) So I ended up killing him without the death note, by using the Egyptian spell for chaos, ‘Isfet’ multiple times, and then I stabbed him with scissors multiple times. I told Anri to get rid of his body, and then I cried afterwards. My dad found me crying and he decided we'd go on the mission anyways. I used the power of the life note to bring Ego back to life, and then radioed Anri through a walkie-talkie to stop and go to the grist mill at Big Ridge SP. And then, we started looking for the blue lock characters, as well as the 5 ingredients to cure Apophis fever (A very uncontrollable sickness that most of the times results in death. It isn’t contagious, but occurs when someone uses ‘Isfet’ on another person too many times.) After we had found them, we went to Sonic (I think) and then back home, as Ego healed. He ended up surviving, and ever since then, I never tried to kill him since.

Bro, you are just the GOAT. Thank you so much for your kind words, and thank you so much for all the help and advice you offered me during this video. Appreciate you so so much brother :)
Finally someone spoke out about what an amazing character and mentor in Blue Lock. Everyone in the Manga-space community that I see are always up on the air about the other characters and how hot they are, bla bla bla but not many speaks about Ego Jinpachi. What an amazing character he is. Brutal but merciful. He doesn't discard the lesser talents as easily. We've seen him getting rid of players who are unable to change their mindset but those who fought to the very end, he gave them a chance as well as a way in. To cultivate their talents in different ways as a different player. Calculative and cold, yet endearing and possesses a warm kindness that he sheltered. He knows what are the costs. Even himself as a sacrificial pawn. He knows that he'll be discarded. Yet he doesn't want the children he raised, to be thrown away. So he made sure to train them and change their mindset properly and slowly show them the results and outcome after a brutal treatment of what they need to do. When it was time for him to go, he lets them go but lets his children know, that he's proud of them, of what they have become and will continue to grow without him. That is why the players of Blue Lock wants to win. To prove Ego was right all along. They all just need to let go and embrace the new. If you view him as a father figure, he would make any boy, into a man. Sacrificing even himself, all that he is and love in the deepest parts of himself, for the future of the child he raised. All for the sake of letting them change and chase their dreams as well as his own, despite not being able to do it himself. I find that very beautiful.

Another way to think about it, that is said in the story, are quotes from the first chapter and episode. "In the world of soccer, first-class goalies, defenders and midfielders can be raised...First-Class strikers will suddenly appear in the place where the game is hottest!" Ego is creating strikers, but he already states you can't "raise" the mindset needed to become a top striker. Just give them the tools and form the hottest place. BUT they can be trained into other positions.

how am i always sobbing at your videos. actual masterpiece of analysis and storytelling. and quite frankly i 100% agree, that moment at the end of the match had me in tears, seeing him so human in that moment really changed blue lock.
I don't understand how you would think someone so drastic like someone as Ego wouldn't have depth? He isn't an omnipotent being like in other series where they'll never get depth. He's still a human. Ofc he was going to have depth. And we haven't even seen anything yet. He isn't some crazy radical dude. The way he explains things is with a clear understanding of what he's talking about, so obviously he knows the world of soccer. He didn't just pick this up on a whim. And if you really deconstruct and analyze Ego's tests from the 1st selection, it didn't just improve their striking ability, but their overall sense of the game. Like with the 2nd selection, if you go to the 2v2, you basically act as a midfielder sometimes because you're not always going to be the one scoring. This is also true for the 3v3 and 4v4. Tbh, I think Isagi benefitted from this programe the most since he was always the bottom of the barrel. He had to claw his way and learned so much with each setback.

Thank you for another awesome video.
tf u deserve more subs the quality of this vid is just >>
Genshin Impact BGM had me... Good job!

Wow ! I loved the way described ego ❤ specially since ego has been one of my favourite charecters because of his banger speeches and life lessons but the way you described how he really wanted tobchange Japan's football ⚽️ 💙 was awesome. Keep up the good work 👌

I just started reading blue lock and I use little nicknames to memorize characters. Like for Hinata ( from Haikyuu) I use ‘orange boy). So when I saw Ego ‘Giraffe Neck’ came to my mind immediately
I always felt about Ego this way since the first time I see him, and my respect for him just increase exponentially for him every time. Such an amazing man/character.
Random fact : His psychological cognitive functions are TeNiSeFi/ENTJ which is
W video Ego is my 2nd favorite character only behind Isagi himself.
I recommend the spinoff novels. Tells us more about Ego's ideas when he talks about Isagi.
