I think you guys are doing great work. Thank you! It's definitely one of the best channels for these topics. We, as a family, have been researching moving to CR for over a year now, we are making our second trip there in 4 weeks to see a few more areas of Guanacaste. We're planning our third trip there around March to see even more areas that we might be interested in. I have passed along your channel to friends of ours as they too want to make the move to CR. The first and biggest decision, at least from our perspective, is where to move to. Our plan is to narrow that down and then rent before making any commitments.

Me and my wife are planning our third trip down there in November. Appreciate all the information I can get, and your channel has helped add a great perspective! The language bit is important, although I'm a bit more of an introvert than you two are LOL! I DO want to see about Spanish tutoring in country when I get to moving there.
Gated communities are typically HOA but that does not mean they are binding HOA's - for that you. need to live in what is called a "condominio" community. Some is for safety, some is for "exclusivity". But really it's about personal preference.
