I had a similar thing happened to me this year with my sister that I went threw 2 foster homes with then just lost contact with for 20 years. She found me amd got me in contact with my 11 other siblings. Gotten to meet 5 of them so far its crazy the feeling of getting to meet, makes you appreciate family so much
I was a missing person from my family for 23 years. 5 sisters and 9 brothers later... i feel so blessed. Thank you for your beautiful story 💝

One of the most beautiful stories I’ve ever heard was a mom and her baby were really sick. While she was pregnant. So the hospital took the baby and said she passed away, then growing up, her daughter was told her real mother had passed away during delivery, only to find out, they both work at the same hospital as nurses, and that they were already best friends. So when they found out, it was a shock to them both. Imagine, your best friend is also your mother, or your father. It was so sweet.
I am always so happy and yet relieved when reunions go well and are welcomed. I found family on line, from my fathers side. It was an unfortunate coincidence. They were not welcoming and very messed up. I am glad I found out though because I can stay the hell away from them all. Too bad and it is their loss🖕
Sounds like they diddnt get the love in their hearts like you have. Its a shame theres sad people out there not giving a 💩 . Where ever you are , hope the sun shines on you

Sorry this is long...I really wish I knew how to write in to these types of experts and people who know how to make reunions happen and that I had enough money to since I'm sure its pretty pricey. Though my situation is (hopefully) pretty unique and I don't know if they'd even know how to help. Because my dad is VERY narcissistic and now we think he might have dementia on top of it because he's claiming my mom murdered my half brother's dad and his dad's girlfriend when they really sadly passed away in a kayaking accident 💔 but he said that he's 'found evidence' that she did...and while I'd like to see him again he's not the ones I really want to see again.
I'm very close with my nephews, and unfortunately, my half sister, his daughter, is on his side and since I'm on my mom's side she wants nothing to do with me and doesn't want me contacting my nephews since she knows I'd tell them the truth of why I don’t visit. One of the worst parts other than not being able to tell my side since I'm sure they've told them I've abandoned the family, is that I have no idea what they look like and I think they're still in the age range where they'd need their mom's permission (their dads (they're half siblings) are sadly not in the picture).
I've had to be pretty creative in how I contact them and that I know its them. I had to literally message them through 23 and Me and of course when I saw that I got a reply and was excited, instead it was her banning me from contacting them. All because I asked her to help convince him to get tested for dementia and because I had the audacity to get upset with him and also because of the fact that he treats me like I'm not allowed to be angry with him. Heck I finally called him on the phone for the first time in at least 5 years and I'm braver when it's on speaker and speak my mind more but he literally thought it was my mom typing things in my voice or something because he kept asking if I was typing when I wasn't even doing anything. So yeah...he’s pretty bad I don't know whether to be mad or just feel bad for him. And of course with my luck the people who are on both sides don't want to get involved.
And since talking to him over speaker wasn't getting anywhere I had to switch it to off speaker where I'm the least brave and don't speak my mind. I don't know why I'm so much braver over speaker since it's still through voice. So it just turned into a 'hi, whatcha been up to' call 😑. And I've tried looking on social media but all the people with their names either are clearly not them or have art or the default profile picture so I don't know how to do it safely that way. I know I use art as my profile pics sometimes but still it can make it tricky.
