this is high season with families in town. Its coming back very slowly unfortunately will drop off again in September

it's not high season, it's holiday season...! High & peak seasons are Nov/Dec - Feb
@@asl333 Perhaps you should advise the hoteliers who are charging double room rates during July and August for the high season. Perhaps you can obtain us locals a discount as holiday season lol
Also, es ist ja so dass ich vor 35 Jahren in chaweng war…. Und ich da NICHT wieder hin möchte… Ich verstehe die Entwicklung des Landes und der Menschen die da wohnen (bzw. der Thais die dort mittlerweile aus wirtschaftlichen Gründen sind). Der „Tourist“ der das sucht was er möchte, macht es dadurch kaputt indem er es findet“. Und da gehöre ICH unbedingt AUCH dazu.

its very very quiet - lived here throughout Covid and no Chinese or Russians tourists with wonga or to invest in businesses and the backpackers are skint. A few more bars have opened with live music and henry africa is charging THb69 for a beer all day tells you no money about and not same.
