This product saved my life... I went to thaialnd for ONE month and was scared to not being able to practice during that amount of time because it won't be possible for me to carry my piano or my midi keyboard... Thanks to this product, I was able to travel there and still practice piano as usual...
Ok, it is not as good as a regular piano... But, it really is a life saver in my situation ... I'd rather carry this with me then not to practice for a whole month ;..
Does it have touch sensitive keys ?
Leider nicht! No.
Folks, it is a foldable keyboard for a hundred bucks. THAT is a GREAT deal.
EXTRAS -
- Sustain pedal included
- Midi outs (wow!)
- Multiple instrument sounds
- Multiple accompaniment rhythms
All for a hundred bucks. What a deal. It's not a Steinway, it's a $100 foldable piano keyboard, which is in itself, a miracle, for a hundred bucks! Don't expect any more, just be happy with it.
its not a deal.... its a steal! this should be illegal for the bang for buck your getting!
Only if you live in USA
In Mexico it’s 250 usd (plus it’s harder to make money here in Mexico so...)
*i expect more*
Midi doesn’t work don’t buy
@@batdang9896 does it work in FL studio?
I just received one of these, your playing has inspired me! 🎹
Just got this Carry-on folding piano. I need a good start. Thank you for your video.
Might buy this. I'm doing a seasonal job and only have limited access to a piano which is bothering me a lot since I also want to learn a lot more. Good value.
Thanks for this! Have seen so many unboxing videos just wanted to hear someone play it!
Very innovative. I like the concept behind this.
Glad you like it!
@@CarryonPlaying I just bought one, And it has arrived, delivered, And eager to be very creative, But do to limited budget, I needed an affordable tool with a full grand piano made and mode , to get use to piano wise, As compared to a regular synth, Which I own as well!( But it's, A grand piano style and feel for my life now,Hopefully, Black Star, Will bring me joy as well!).... 🎹
If it had slightly better samples and velocity sensitive keys maybe with a reduced 76 key keyboard to maintain price and reduce size it would have been an absolute winner.
I was thinking the same thing--the sounds are like 1995-era technology!
for the sound you alway can use computer and very heavy vst like noire, the orchestra, nucleus... on kontakt, obvously you need to crack it if you d'ont want to pay more on a vst than the keyboard 😆
Check out our Touch version which is now available: www.amazon.co.uk/Portable-Folding-Blackstar-Controller-Rechargeable/dp/B0BMLS4ZZ4/ref=sr_1_5?crid=2BA9UKTJD5XM7&keywords=carry-on%2Bfolding%2Bpiano%2B88%2Bkey%2Btouch&qid=1699365884&sprefix=piano%2Bcarry-on%2Bfolding%2Caps%2C74&sr=8-5&th=1
I have just got it for my birthday today, i am looking forward to playing...
Mine is great! Run it through a Blackstar Fly and pump it out. Wonderful invention! I play it everywhere: bed, table, truck, friend’s place. Learn ‘spidery’ technique for playing.
excellent demo best yet. Just tried one i know they're cheap but rhe rythym sounds are too low. and midi as far as i can see are for computer only usb into host. cheers richie
i hope it really sounds like this. Going to buy it now.
Got my shipping email from Guitar Center earlier today. Excited to try it out!
Thanks Sammy. Please tell us what you think on the Guitar Center product reviews.
how is it thus far?
@@birthdaycelebration9943 I like it. Not that I have much experience to compare it to as this is my first keyboard since childhood, but it plays just fine and folds conveniently! There also aren't any gaps between the hinges or any noticeable latency. I recommend it.
@@CarryonPlaying Hi
How much cost is this 😊
Plz reply me bro.
@@Johnjohn-bj5iu It's $99 in the USA or £89 in the UK.
Mann i wanted this for months but i aint got enough saving to buy this. Guess imma take a year to get this home with me.
Its less than 100 dollars
wow the sound is not bad
Awesome sound…but I hear that the internal speakers to this are awful. What do you plug it into to get sick clear sound?
Can i use this to produce music with Omnisphere in a DAW? It looks not bad.
Really interesting ! Does it have a MIDI interface ?
The folding piano doesn’t require an specific software to use MIDI. Upon connection it will appear as a midi device and can be used with any MIDI enabled applications.
0:50 what is the song please?
Soon....i'll eventually get this
Hello, I bought the 49 carry on piano and I’d like to play the demo songs. Is it possible to find the partition sheet somewhere?
I've just bought one of these and it doesn't sound as rich as this. How are you making it sound like that? Through a speaker?
You playin' it!!!
When will the velocity sensitive versions be available in the U.S.? And is it only the 49 key that has touch sensitivity?
I’m impressed with this piano, however that French horn was awful. With that said, I still bought it. :) can’t wait to get it!
Nice.. Hope people that will view your vids will subs to u
nice concept. Can it be connected to speakers?
yes it can!
great playing, thanks for sharing!
In terms of the stand you're using, is it a custom stand or something you bought from somewhere? All the regular keyboard stands don't support the hinges so am looking for something appropripate.
nice wanna buy on trip
Can this handle Ballade No 1, Liebsleid, Pathetique, Italian Concerto, etc? I’m looking for a lightweight portable keyboard that I can take to work with me so that I can practice during breaks, downtime...
it has no touch sensitivity, and the keys look slightly slimmer. maybe as a synth type keyboard it could get the job done but it's not a piano per se
It's won't be too much satisfaction for a complete classic song but it's average
Not for Rach III but Rach II should just be fine.
1- Which is better for using in FL studio: black Star carry on folding 88 keys. Or Yamaha reface yc or miDiPLUS X6 mini?
2- I like paly 88 keys so how can play 88 th keys on FL studio by 37 th keys on midi controller?
Great review of this folding piano. Would you recommend it for daily use? I am a music teacher and I need a reference piano in every classroom.
It's an amazing product to purchase if you're a beginner as the quality of sound and other technicalities cannot compare to other keyboards, but because you're a music teacher you should definitely get this piano, not only it's very inexpensive but it's also a great tool to help your students learn how to play
it would be perfect. We have lots of teachers using the piano in the educational sector.
Hi, does it have regular piano-sized keys? Also, are the keys weighted or just like any electrical keyboard?
can I connect this keyboard to my pc via midi~usb ?
If you push strong so do you have loud sound on carry on or sound is equal with push or touch? Thanks..
Good afternoon friend I want to know if this piano is charged only with the pc or it can also be charged with a wall socket since it says that its charge is 5 volts
Did anyone get one of these yet? Looks like it might be cool.
the downside:
Key travel is just about half of the standard, built in sounds is not the best especially with the small built in speaker. navigating from one sound sample to the other is a hasle because it uses arrow up or down to navigate.
the up side:
for portability's sake I have a 25 key keyboard(with knobs sliders & pads) and there are times that I needed more than 25 keys at one time, this one just solves the problem without compromising portability.
@@Parrytzg the charging port got a tiny bit loose, when pushed all the way it wont charge so after pushing it I then pull the cable a little bit.
The sound is not impressive with the built in speakers since day one, but it sounds good with studio headphones.
So far the keys still feels good. No noticeable change on the key action.
Natural feel? The more you press the more is the sound?
needs bluetooth for a thousand reasons
An ultra-portable folding keyboard that connects to speakers, headphones, car stereo, etc. via bluetooth sounds indispensablly handy.
The only problem with bluetooth is the delay
Too much latency on bluetooth :(
I didn't think there was love at first sight...
Hace envíos a provincias de Perú?
Two questions: 1. Which of the 49 or 88 keys version would you recommand for adults who are just starting and would like play basic tunes. 2. Can I use it while charging?
Hi, Thank you for your interest! Here is the answer to your questions: 1. We would recommend 88 keys as it has a full-sized key same as uplight piano or grand piano. 2. Yes, you can use it while charging without any problem!
Alguien sabe si es teclado es sensitivo?
is there flute or trumpet?
Chord break not applicable when turn to flat/sharp chord using this keyboard unless u got small fingers
Do the keys make a clicking sound when pressed like the foldano folding keyboard?
It does
can I use it as a midi controller and thus use REAPER to record !?
Yes
Does carry on have modulation wheel or pitch ?
If the black frets had been higher, I would have bought it.
Same😂😂😂😂
Se puede conectar a un amplificador?
Where to buy this? Btw I'm from Philippines
Sa Yamaha SM North branch.
Has it weighted keys?
Due to the folding nature, the keys are not weighted, or pressure-sensitive. The black keys are full width, and slightly shorter to keep a small form factor when folded.
Can you use Ableton or FL studio with this?
Hi! Yes, it does work with all software via using MIDI. Hope this helps!
Where can I buy in Malaysia
Does it have Bluetooth or earphone jack please?
It has a headphone out and no Bluetooth. Hope this helps!
@@CarryonPlaying thanks alot!
A mi se me hecho a perder a los dos meses solo sonaba solo sonaba los primeros 12 teclas😂 de por alguna razon me da risa
Is there a portable piano without all those extras? I couldn't care less about the many sounds. I just need a piano. Where can I get it?
The piano is comes as a set with the accessories and all the built in sounds. The default sound is a piano sound.
Release date ?
Available now at www.carryonpiano.co.uk
@@CarryonPlaying Nice idea. I might like to review it for my channel...
Specs state, "128 custom accompaniments" - does this mean you can record them from the keyboard? If so, does it support more than one track? A little more info on this would be appreciated. THANKS.
The accompaniments are built in presets. You cannot record to the piano though you can send midi to an external device for recording.
Where can I buy it
Amazon
do you sell it, the foldable piano?
sent email, no reply yet, how to contact you?
You can buy it online I think

Did not sound like this on pianoforever
Yeah it sounded worse on that vid
that's because he played the piano with the internal speakers and not on the jack. I don't think he played the piano sound with the jack.
@@aSlipperyDuck true
The lack of velocity/touch sensitivity is the only reason why I am not going to buy it. I would pay more for a better version. At the price point just buy a midi controller 😅

The lenght of the keys are shorter than those an acoustic piano, it's horrible!
Awful. The black keys are level with the white keys and the action is like typewriter keys.
Does this keyboard have velocity sensitivity?
It does not. It's great for those wanting a portable practice piano or MIDI controller, however.
No, it's like a keyboard for desktop computer only click click, on or off, but the sound is greater than the duo splicing
