A living legend of Pakistan's music industry and one of the most innovative and trailblazing icons of the country's rock music. Sir Asad Ahmed is truly one of a kind! Love his solo albums. Very insightful interview. Btw the opening song is the title track from his solo album Ascension if anyone's wondering.
That laughter of Asad bhai in start .. ❤️. Had chance to work under his mentorship in pepsi BOB.. 2 legends and teachers in a frame.. Thank you LJP bhai ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank God i grew up listening fabulous guitarist like Asad Ahmed.. i still remember those days when i was learning guitar and trying to play RAKH AAS & GARDISH guitar riffs. HUGE RESPECT...!!
Best drummer in Pakistan interviewing the best rock n roll guitarist in Pakistan. Massive respect. If either of you visit Calgary hit me up. I'll be honoured to meet ya guys.
I've seen country Pop/Rock music go uptown in the late 80s early and 90s and these two gentleman's played a huge part in it. So proud of you guys. Quality of Intro is better than the original Ascension version.
Share some videos if u have of the concert's u did in India. Will mean a lot to ur fans from indie community and enhance the share of musical ideas cross border 🤘🤘🤘
Thank you for this !!! ... I admire Asad alot since Awaz Days ... i am a huge fan of karavan's album Gardish... when i was young I wondered how their track "shor" would sound had you played drums on it ! ... still do i guess ... 😊
Thank you so much for doing this. Much Much appreciated Gumby. Love your calm and composed style with pertinent questions fostering a meaningful conversation that is indispensable for the serious followers of Pakistani music as well as musicians. Thanks to the RUclips algorithm I am here and now eager to see your other videos. That instrumental in the beginning is phenomenal with all three musicians stellar.
Fantastic to see trail blazers like Asad being spotlighted. Artists like him and Gumby are the architects of the foundation of the present Music scene.
Asad had his fair share in Junoon’s first album days. He was in as a bassist 🎸 😃 I wished the this episode would’ve been a longer one. But yes Asad virtuoso was seen on Vital Signs Hum Tum, he was beyond his usual and out of the box.
Big difference between original track and the one played here,BASS! More prominent even i've watched this track(not the whole episode with asad) more than 50 times and i'm not getting bore.Russell's bass play is too pure and mature,i have to admit.Asad's guitar does not require any comment, top noch. And gumby you are my favorite since aj latha naee oo coke studio season 2.....real drums hero.have'nt seen anybody so precise and commanding over drums ever since then. You are matchless
Gumby please do share those videos of your handy cam recorded we want see the whole old process all that conversations and doing work for coke studio ❤
Loved this conversation with Asad and you. It was so natural. I remember Asad from Barbarians and we use to wait and watch their songs on that one Music program that came once a week on PTV. Awesome Gumby👍😊
Will be a great treat if you could upload the old footages and please get Rohail or Shahi and also one of the hidden gems Boniface Herbert from our Pakistani music...
Waiting for part 2... can you please also request imu and shallum to come together?as i remember they started their journey together it will be great to hear from both of them. You may also stretch that episode in 6/7 part np :p
Instrumental waqai click bait hay lolol. Love how the drums bloom towards the end. In an attempt to turn the volume up remote Kay bajayay glass pay haath maar dia and broke it 😂
It was a conversation bro no an interview... Asad and myself have a relationship where he would blatantly tell me if I'm cutting him off. These are based on both of our experiences and opinions. It's casual chatting
So much love and respect for both of you ❤️.
nice to watch this conversation. God to see Asad
Living legend. Thanks for bringing him back to light. Loved listening from Karvaan
Thank you.... ❤️
Waiting for part 2. Asad is truly a legend and an amazing human being aswell

You cant play instrumental, cant even come up with good riffs for rythm. but no doubt some of your solos are top notch.
Why do all Pakistani presenters persist with continuing to interrupt and talk over the guests they are interviewing? It’s uncomfortable viewing!
