I think when ussop says "a mushroom made me sick once" and "dunno, I've never been sick", he's referring to 2 different kinds of sick. the mushroom made him vomit, but he's never had a fever.

My headcanon for why Luffy "mistakes" Kaku for Usopp is because he sees all long nosed people as a separate people he collectively refers to as Usopp. As on Egghead, Luffy call Kaku "Usopp" even though he explains to Kaku in that same sentence that Zoro has no sense of direction. But that's something Luffy wouldn't explain to his Usopp because he knows the Usopp he's friends with would know. So he can definitely distinguish between the two characters, but still calls them both Usopp. You can make the argument that Luffy is trolling, but the idea of Luffy seeing all long nosed people as a seperate people all collectively called "Usopp" is just funnier IMO.

i will continue to look forward to Usopp's glow up. i refuse to believe that he will remain the weakest. He has Observation Haki and has literally NEVER missed a single shot in the entire show. He is the best friends of the Giants and single handedly assembled the majority of luffy's army. Usopp is such a vital part of the straw hat pirates and he WILL advance his haki and become MUCH stronger than he is now. MARK MY WORDS. ITS A MATTER OF WHEN!!

I want to know more about Prince Loki and how he fell for Lola, how he’s been feeling since then etc. Maybe Usopp will be “knighted” in Elbaf, so even though he already has become a brave warrior of the sea, being called as such in Elbaf would be him getting confirmation from his “masters”. Funny thing about Usopp saying hes never been sick a long with Sanji and Luffy. Its a saying in Japanese that "idiots don't get sick" so its fits with him being a liar because he is actually one of the smarter members of the crew but plays stupid to get out of flights.

Usopp's my favorite SH. I hope they adapt the goggles scene in the LA even though it's technically not in the manga. It's canon (it was also in the Loguetown novel) and Usopp got kinda shafted in S1 in terms of character development. Plus the brief flashback between Yassop and Daddy Masterson actually gives a little more depth to the Yassop's inner conflict, and gives Usopp more of a reason to respect his honor rather than the average reader opinion of Yassop being a deadbeat. While Manga readers/Anime watchers I think are more likely to look past the reasoning behind Usopp not actually hating his father, the LA audience will be looking a lot more for that justification for Usopp being proud of Yassop. So this would at least give him an actual example of his father being honorable, instead of Usopp essentially just assuming he's honorable because he also dreams of being a pirate.

I still wonder if this might be the reason Oda refuses to outright call Zoro the vice-captain even if he makes it seem obvious in several ways. Maybe Usopp truly will be considered such once he 'fully unlocks' at Elbaf COPIUM
But yeah, my original favorite (before Brook and Franky kinda ran off with my heart with their unique charm) and still one of my favorites by far, even if he doesn't get his proper dues in some arcs. I really really really REALLY hope Elbaf is everything for him we always wanted it to be, and he can go the rest of the series as the brave warrior of the sea we all know he can be, fighting with trickery and deception sure but without any more fear in his heart.

I think it will, I think the difference is in this case is he will still be the weakest. Nami has zues which makes her a glass cannon with a yonko asset, Chopper can do monster point for like 30 minutes now or something like that, so I think he’ll finally get a buff to make him a monster, just the weakest of the monsters

Yeah I was curious about that because if Jinbe, who took over for Fisher Tiger counts, then surely Brook must as well? And by some extension Sanji could also count considering he temporarily formed the Twirly Hats in Zou? Maybe Brook and Sanji don’t count in this instance because the original captains were still alive (Yorki hadn’t died yet I recall) and they only had half the crew in comparison to the three captains mentioned in the video? I dunno lmao, I’m tryna find any reason here
