The songs are in Twi because, historically, Gas did not have chiefs nor the chieftaincy institution. Gas had the priesthood institution. Whatever Gas have today relating to chieftaincy was "borrowed" and "copied" from the Akans, mainly from the Akwamus and Akwapims, and lately from Asante.
In the Ga states every states has his own chief it's not centralised like in the Ashanti Region.In Ashanti Region Otumfuor is the supreme ruler unlike the Ga states whose chief are supreme in their state.These very chief jurisdiction is Ga Mashie Accra.We have Teshie, La,Osu,Nungua,Tema etc all have their chief who is supreme in his jurisdiction
From history it is known that our people form alliance with the Akwamu to fight waring enemies. And it is common for songs to be adopted. But obviously not all the songs are in Twi too
@@gabooogh7068 alliance lol. The Gas were conquered by the Akwamu and adopted some of their Akan customs. Later on they joined the Akyem and Akuapem where they most likely got these war songs from to fight against the Akwamu.
@@Ed.-uc4yd sure I may have gotten that wrong. But I know there were some alliance to fight their enemies though. Be it again the Ashanti's or Akwamus Thanks.
Ablade TV, so are you the only people in the world who do not know that the name is Otumfuo Osei Tutu Ii and not Nana Osei Tutu Ii....for anybody to go out of their way to write Nana instead of Otumfuo reeks of mischief
I do not normally make comments but let me correct something here. Nana can be use by anyone hence why otumfuo osei tutu ii is the appropriate way to address the overload of asanteman

Indeed, Ga, you made your presence felt.

Funny. What have they copied from the Asantes recently?
@gresszillers3090 Not recent history, but historically, the people of the Ga State only had chief priests. Kingship and chieftancy was borrowed.

Please do a bit of research and you will know. Thank you.
Ghanaians 🇬🇭 should come together and remove the politician and let the KING AND CHIEF GOVERNOR US ALL AS GHANAIANS THAN POLITICIAN.
King of Accra? Where did that come from? If the GA Manste is supposed to be "over" GaDangbe then what exactly does King of Accra mean??

When we talk of Ga Adangme it's the entire Ga.The likes of Ada etc
@charlesdotsey9883
Otumfour is the overlord of the Ashanti confederation NOT Ashanti region. The Ashanti Kingdom go/spread beyond Ashanti region.
Currently the Ga Mantse is the voice of all Ga chiefs, it is time all the chiefs from Ada to Osu to rally behind him.@@charlesdotsey9883
