In lap winding, both Yb and Yf are odd number and of opposite sign. They cant be equal. They differ by 2 or multiple of 2. If it is simplex lap winding, and if Yb > Yf, then Yb = Yf + 2. If Yb < Yf, then Yb = Yf - 2. So Yb = Yf (+/-) 2. (plus or minus). In general, Yb = { Yf (+/-) 2m }, where m = 1 for simplex lap winding and m = 2 for duplex lap winding. And so for simplex it is not Yb = Yf + 1. It is wrong.
Why are you saying that for lap winding yb = yf +- 2 ? For simplex it's not yb = yf + 1 ? Thank you

Good 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Thanks
Very nice sir
Thank you dear 😊
But in lap winding the number of slots doesn't equal to number commutator segments nor either coils..but coils are equal to commutator segments.
Why average pitch( yb+yf)/2 is taken as pole pitch Z/p
