- Today we'll explore Webkinz from the perspective of a new player in 2023! We'll dive into Webkinz Classic after buying a plushie from the new generation of Webkinz.

man i remember in the first grade everyone crowding around the three class computers and watching the teacher play as she showed it to us, people were so hyped about it like half the class bought one in a week. recess turned into webkinz time for those few months or so.

I still play Webkinz to this day, and it’s taking all my willpower to not go crazy infodumping everything about this game. But I kinda wanna do it anyways SOOOOO, I haven’t watched the whole video yet - I’m only about halfway - but I’m already giggling at how you were looking for Quizzy’s and entered the Kinzville Academy instead. As for Webkinz being educational, yes! It was originally advertised as an educational virtual world, with Quizzy’s being the most advertised feature. So that answers your question!
Also, “we should see Dr. Quack” is a statement that made me very sad, considering he was removed from the game altogether unfortunately! Lore-wise, he cured all illness and retired. That was when they were making the Webkinz X update, where they changed a bunch of stuff (so the game is running on multiple different code bases jumbled together). So stuff like talking to your pet, inviting friends to your room, stuff like that is all gone too.
The Webkinz X update isn’t very well liked among the Webkinz community, and I’m one of those people who absolutely hate it. It also brought a ton of bugs and glitches, the game will often freeze up and you’ll just have to suck it up and reload, sometimes you’ll go to Daily Activities and nothing will work, but it’ll take away that activity for you anyways (so pray you don’t get that glitch when Wheel of the Month comes around) and more stuff like that. Anyways, I’m done rambling now xD sorry you had to have this neurodivergent goofball rambling in your comment section!
I’m not sure if you learned this or not, but Webkinz still get certificates. To find it, you click the purple paw that is next to the Webkinz heart meter. It will take you to a menu that shows all your Webkinz. There will be a heart to the right of the screen, near it there are buttons for the certificate and the Webkinz introducing themselves. I hope this helps.

The best experience ever was on my birthday my parents took to me this toy shop and they had a huge shelf of webkinz and my parents bought me like 6 of them and I immediately put them on my account 😢

the webkinz community is thriving except we're now considered a part of the plush community since ours is well pretty small compared to it

i still play webkinz all the time but the saddest thing about the update for me was the removal of mazin hamsters. me and my sister had 3 hamsters between us and we would play for hours. looking back, i can’t quite remember it clearly, as i was like 5 when i played, but i was devastated when it got removed. sometimes now my mom and i go on and play together because we miss it. her favourite games in the arcade are smoothie moves and jumbleberry fields. a really big nostalgic thing for me though is the curio shop. my sister and i would always take turns trying to get gems, and i swear i would always get slag
