Wow man just beautiful! Just want to thank you again for taking me with you. Don't know if I can go with you anymore. I have throat cancer and it spread. Already having trouble breathing. Thanks for everything. You really helped bring me at least a little peace. Hope I get to see yall next video! Be good and enjoy all you can in this short life.
Sorry to hear the cancer news. We're glad we can bring a few minutes of joy a month. I lost my mom last year to it and my wife has "beaten" it twice. Stay positive that you have the same path as her brother. Catch you on the next video!
Very beautiful area although not really near Moab. I've camped east of Salina close to I70 but never knew about that area, I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the video.
10 minutes to the trailhead from fueling up in Moab. I would say that's "near" Moab. Thanks for watching
@@xploremor I looked up Manti-La Sal National Forest on the map and it shows it north of Salina just on the east side of highway 89 about 100 miles from Moab. Am I looking up the wrong name?
Update: Okay, there appears to be two Manti-La Sal National Forests, one east of Moab on the Utah / Colorado border and the one I first saw near Salina. That is strange so I guess I'll have to do some research as to why there are two of them. I did a search and the one near Salina is what it shows but if I zoom in on the Moab area the other one shows up. Weird!
Update #2: According to the Forest Service, the one near Salina is the Manti Division while the area near Moab is the La Sal Division. I don't know why they combine the two names when they are so far apart and are separated by miles of open desert.
@@LivingOnCash Manti La Sal is a huge forest area. The specific area in the video is the mountains west of Moab, The snow capped peaks above town. Here is a link to a trail write up. www.trailsoffroad.com/scout-routes/800-la-sal-pass
@@xploremor Awesome! Thanks for the link. I'll have to make a trip (maybe many) over there soon (I'm in northern NV).
