I was perhaps 7 or 8. My Grandmother was visiting some friends on a Sunday in the summer of 1957, in Wycombe, Bucks County Pa. She sent me out to play. I walked down the railroad tracks that were surrounded by corn fields. I saw a small whirlwind up ahead by the tracks. It was probably a foot tall. I was fascinated. As I approached it turned into a little man. I distinctly remember his big eyes looking up at me. The next thing I remember I was walking along the tracks coming up near the house. My Grandmother was calling me. Apparently I had been gone for over 2 hours. I never told anyone about this until now. I took a course with Paul on Labyrinths at Omega Institute in the mid 80s. Met Charla there too. His telling of his experience here caused me to tell my story. I can still clearly see the little man's eyes.

Thank you so much Susan. It's funny, that's one of the things I remember too. I don't remember details about his eyes but the way our eyes met and looked at each other. Like a meeting between worlds. I remember his face mostly which was ancient. Hat's off to Paul and Charla for sharing their experience. It's true that once you have had one of these experiences you understand. Otherwise it's very hard for people to wrap their heads around.

@@themodernfairysightingspod8421 I've never had a direct encounter that I remember, but I think what these experiences reveal is something of 'the implicate order' of the Universe, to borrow a term from quantum physics, they reveal that in essence the Universe has more Heart and Meaning than we are ordinarily inclined to attribute to it. That these are realities independent of either our beliefs or acknowledgements, and only available to us at a certain level of receptivity. We do not create them out of ourselves, we only miss them through our ignorance. They are as real as Reality itself, it is us that fall short.

I believe in what these people are saying. When I was a child, one night I was riding in the back seat of my parents car and looking at the oncoming traffic on the other side of the street. It was a well lighted main street in my home town. Suddenly I saw a stage coach pulled by a team of brown horses pass us. I was totally amazed and surprised in a good way. I didn’t say anything to my parents because I knew it was a vision, but it looked absolutely real.

In 2012 I was staying in a remote area of County Clare. The property backed onto a wood. Entrance to the wood was through a tumble down wall and a little winding path lead through the wood. At each side of the path were shamrocks in flower. Every day I walked quietlt throgh the wood and spike to the nature spirits ir fairies, saying Icame from England and walking in peace, greeting them. On the last morning, in the space between sleep and waking a healthy looking, red cheeked being stood in front of me smiling in greeting. It had fair, curly hair and was wearing a brown, quilted jacket. It had pointed ears. I do not believe that it was my imagination. A few weeks later, I had a similar experience. I live in a very built up area of England. This being however, was very thin and not so healthy looking, but still greeting me with a smile. I think just acknowledging my awareness of its presence.

Do you think that when we get away from entities, and don't remember exactly where it was, that your mind has been manipulated by the being?
I've had that foreboding feeling. It's absolutely ghastly.
I once saw three gnomes.....exactly as you would imagine, floppy, pointed hats, pointed shoes and carrying ropes and grappling hooks. It was like they were just out of this dimension - they were grey and translucent. They faded in and out. I love that the channel is presenting a practical approach and genuine modern accounts and experiences. I find it funny how so much of the paranormal field entirely dismisses faeries as a potential factor behind "ghosts" in certain cases.
Even deeper dives into sasquatch start yeilding very faery-like details. Especially when historic/folklore accounts from some Native American tribes that tell of interactions with sasquatch.

My boyfriend and I feel that hummingbirds are fairies. They so magical express the spirit of nature. I saw a very small being from another dimension when I was a child. She was a beautiful woman with long dark hair in a long dress who appeared by my bedside for a few minutes just after I got into bed. She didn’t look like anyone I knew. I wasn’t asleep and dreaming, of that I am sure. She was talking to me in a kindly manner and I could feel a good presence, but the sound of her voice wasn’t getting through to me. I wasn’t afraid, just amazed. Would love to hear from anyone who had a similar experience or has any idea of who this spirit might be.

I think that many adults have a problem with the word ‘Faery’ or ‘Fairy’ and so daren’t stick their head above the parapet for fear of ridicule. Perhaps many would feel more comfortable with the topic if they term them ‘Inter-dimensional beings’ or ‘Elementals’.

I love the mood and atmosphere of this video created by the interior colours of Paul and Charla's warm red and brown-orange pallet cooled down by Charla's blue sweater and Jo's ivory white wall and blue and green accessories. I am glad I don't drive. I have always been a keen nature lover after having grown up in the low lands of Europe containing beaches, forests, farms and marshes. I am sure Ireland is also a very precious country for these experiences. These supernatural powers seem to become trapped within elements of the earth such as marbles. This takes me back to my school days in Belgium in the 1980's when marbles were very popular as collectible items because of their beautiful colours and patterns. I agree physical books will always be read. I think technology is just a phase. There is nothing like the sacred experience of holding a book, seeing its beautiful design, smelling its sweet aroma and hearing the pages flicker. I can never forget the ancient smell of a very old book I purchased from my school when I was about ten years old about astronomy and making a wish at a specific time of the phase of the moon. My wish came true after I found a £1 coin after waking up. I look forward to reading the books especially Paul's book titled 'The Powers of Ancient and Sacred Places' and other titles. These books are motivating me to adventure out into sacred landscapes. More adventure.

I also stayed at a property in Herefordshire once that had a standing stone in the garden and a stone row in a field nearby and the ley line ran between them and through the cottage. Yes I would like more clarification on what Paul is saying here about Leys - and I’ve watched it a few times - seems to be saying Alfred Watkins some kind of hoax or at least has led to some sort of hoax - I’d be very sad to hear that this was the case and none of this would of course invalidate other peoples experiences of the reality of Leys . Anyway I always thought the author and first Ley hunter Alfred Watkins was a historical character who really wasn’t sure what Leys were apart from some kind of funeral/coffin paths. But I would be grateful for more clarification as I was deeply influenced as a teenager by The Old Straight Track and by Mr Devereux’s Ley Hunters companion and I would be very sad if he has since lost faith in it. But forgive me if Ive misunderstood what he’s saying in this interview. No offence intended. Everything else he says here about fairy experiences and tracks fascinating .I firmly believe in the reality of the Fae - or Devas / nature spirits/Angels whatever cultural form they manifest etc. and have had a few experiences to evidence my belief- some bad but mostly good. But even the scary ones are nothing as bad as us ferocious humans who are destroying the environment which was God’s natural habitat for the nature spirits - beautiful old straight tracks around my home, for example, were destroyed overnight by the bulldozers constructing yet more motorways. Yet there are still areas of great numinosity if you know where to look and it may be that these are the places to which our holy spirits of place may be being driven.
