LOL @ onions... funny, I just watched another male reactor to this tune and he had a sudden onset allergy attack.😉 I shaved my head when my mom was undergoing MAX radiation therapy, and chemo that had to be stopped early because it almost killed her. The happy news?... she responded excellently to the treatments, her cancer, which was inoperable, shrank from the size and shape of a very large mandarin orange, to a small piece of dead scar tissue the size of a medium sized grape. She is gone now, but her cancer never came back... she died of simple 'old age', 14 years after her diagnosis, which docs gave her a rough timeline of MAYBE 4 years, since it couldn't just be removed. I thank God every day for that blessing. If you know someone with cancer, or, pray not, that you ever get it yourself... know that it's not the way it was years ago... treatments are successful much more often than in the past. My Mom was already stage four (final stage) when she was diagnosed, and went on to live her life to its true, natural end. I'm a Canadian, and our national Canadian Cancer Society has, for as long as I can remember, their motto has always been..... "Cancer CAN be beaten", and we (the human race), are getting closer and closer to that becoming reality... Already, some types of cancer are almost always curable if caught in time. If your wondering who/what to make your major yearly charitable donation to... might I suggest your local, or national cancer societies, who do more than just fund research, but also build inventories of wigs to match any hair color and style, fund or even host support groups, help caregivers, etc, etc. your money won't be wasted if you donate to a real, valid, cancer society. Wishing good health to all who read this, and all who never stumble across my faint words.🙏🏼 And, the happy ending to this song/story, is that her biggest dream, dancing with her true love without any cares came true. 👍🏼✌🏼🇨🇦
I'm 66years old this video takes me back to my school day and a girl who was fighting cancer and had lost her hair she thought no one would take her to the school prom but all the boys at the school about 100 came to her house to walk her to the prom, and at prom they all danced with her and then give her a 💋,at the end of the prom we all walked her home and told her we will keep her safe, I found out later she had beaten the cancer and had 3 kids,
I love rascal flatts they have to be my all time favorite. They don't have a bad song but some of my favorites you should check out Come wake me up, better now, what hurts the most, bless the broken road, here comes goodbye, why, life is a highway, unstoppable, I can almost, let it hurt, winner at a losing game, backwards, and the song that means the most to me is I won't let go. The reason is I was in a really bad place my daughter passed away at the age of 6 and my world stopped I began taking pills and other things and drinking alot. I met someone that helped me so much and wrote the words to this song telling me that they were there to help me.
This song and “What Hurts the Most” are two of Rascal Flatts saddest songs. Something with how their voices are. The way they do the family in this video is so great. They tell the story with just photos of them. Checkout “Lullaby” by Nickelback.
I've been a subscriber for awhile, but just found this reaction. Skin came out as a hidden track at the end of one of their CDs that I bought years ago. It hit hard a few years ago when I had to go through chemo. I know it's not supposed to be a big deal for guys, but I despised the sensation of having a bare head, I worse one of those 'cancer caps' 24/7. For some reason I kept my moustache and soul patch through chemo, but after I was done as my hair started to come back (much thinner), my moustache and soul patch faded away and haven't come back. That's rough when you've had at least a moustache for 40 years. But I'm alive. This video is fantastic, along with a lot of other Rascal Flatts songs. They're worth a deeper dive.
Unfortunately the song was actually inspired by a 5 year old girl who passed from an extremely rare cancer. The song writer wrote this song from the perspective that she was diagnosed in high school and survived.

@@mrtoad8585 this is true. But if someone is going to do only one 'tell me i was dreaming' would be the one I'd want. The whole trilogy would be preferable.
As a cancer patient, I can this song touches my very soul because I went through all of this as a child it was very scary. I used to dream that I was anywhere else because I wanted out. Even now two years into remission I still cry and feel every word of this song
There is a poet, William Marshall Davis, who has a book out named "In The Heart Of A Woman" where he donates 99¢ of every book sold to The Georgia Breast Cancer Correlation Fund. It's a great book of love poetry and he is giving back to those fighting this evil disease
I'm January 2008, I shaved my head for my sister-in-law. She had Stage 4 Melanoma and had started chemotherapy. She didn't lose her hair!! Four months later my dad died...based on the stubble on my head, I'm sure people thought I was a cancer survivor. I'm 57 now and I don't have hair but was hoping that I wouldn't lose mine since my sister-in-law didn't but I found hair on my pillow. At first it's hard but I've found that in the grand scheme of things, everything going on in the world, hair is now towards the bottom of the list of things that matter.
i have a friend that went through the chemo and radiation for breast and limph node cancer she beat it has been cancer free for over a decade when she had the treatments i stayed with her so if she needed help getting up to go to the bathroom

Made me cry ...beautiful singing ..amazing reaction thanku so much love and God bless x
If I remember correctly, the young lady the song is based on actually made a recovery and they got married.
Unfortunately the young lady's cancer did come back and although she fought bravely and valiantly, she did pass away.
She died right before graduating from high school, but her boyfriend stayed with the until the end,
She died. Here aunt taught at my high school

The one dislike, have to wonder about someone who cannot appreciate a song about millions of people’s story and battle.

Other emotional ones travis tritt "tell me i was dreaming" and John Michael Montgomery "the little girl"
The entire Travis tritt Trilogy will make you cry
@@mrtoad8585 everytime
@@__abby You can’t really tell someone to listen to one part of the trilogy with that having them listen to all of the trilogy so it makes sense

You need to react to “what hurts the most “
Yes, this and (God bless)the broken road are my 2 favorites
Yes!
Letters From Home is the one that always gets me. Also, Welcome Home by Dolly Parton. I bawl my eyes out but they are happy tears 😊
As a cancer patient, I can this song touches my very soul because I went through all of this as a child it was very scary. I used to dream that I was anywhere else because I wanted out. Even now two years into remission I still cry and feel every word of this song

Knew it was coming, your reaction was worth the wait...
This song just starts and my eyeballs sweat.
Me too damn onions
Why is someone always cutting onions when this song comes on?
Just a weird coincidence
Song makes me ball like a baby everytime 😭❤️
Makes me think of my daughter Phoebe and her going to prom in May this year. She wore one of her mom's wigs. She looked beautiful no matter what.
Great reaction to a great song
Wonderful song - My Mom and Aunt are recovering from NHL. We pray every 6 months for neg. test results.

In the song "Don't Take the Girl" - Tim McGraw she does not die from giving birth, you can see her at the end running towards her husband and son
