Gotta say, the final boss rush of Return to Dreamland is easily my favorite set of bosses in the whole Kirby series. I really like Magolor as a character, and the plot reasons that lead to these events are great (he's pretty much Marx but with actual character development and attachment to him). And the 3 bosses (Lor Starcutter, Magolor and Magolor Soul) are all really fun to fight.
I love both Marx and Magolor. But I honestly think that you get more attached to Marx you see we see Magolor often and he is already fleshed out but Marx just...he is just never seen except in death matches, he is a complete evil shit mystery. And also see how every soul form ever since has inherited his madness. (Not in the literal way)

You can actually race against Magolor. He’s actually in the form he was in when you thought he was a good guy. He also appears in star allies as a teammate or if you play the mode where you play as an ally. I think the idea of playing as him is pretty cool
Kirby's Dream Collection. He didn't die; he apparently ended up in Another Dimension; he eventually got back to Popstar and made an amusement park as an apology. oh also Magolor knows Marx
6:55 In the deluxe version, they removed the warping effect of this black hole attack. This was one of the only big blunders that I could find in the remake, and it makes me sad that they got rid of this because the warping effect really showed how powerful Magolor Soul is. No other variation of the black hole attack has physically warped the battlefield even to this day, and it makes it even better than Magolor Soul does this as his first attack. Amazing tone setter for this boss that was diminished in the remake.
So we have a friendly little alien,who betrays you to get a crown that has unlimited power,makes you fight the very ship you repaired,makes you crash land on an unknown planet,then fights you,for you to slice him up with a GIANT FUCKING SWORD,for the same crown to fuse to his head,thus controlling him,becoming a "sad shell",and for him to DIE but somehow survive,and scream out Kirby's name and also has Zero's eye in his mouth thing. Damn Kirby games can be dark when they want to...

Man I still remember 9:52. We failed the first time of course but our sure fire plan was to flip upside down on the couch to counteract it. It took a couple of times but we beat the boss and were super proud
If you set the speed of the video to 2.0x at this scene, you can hear something like "Thank you, Kirby!" or "Kirby, thank you!". That would confirm your statement.
The crown corrupted magalor and made him want to take over the world so the crown is the reason why magalor did that magalor realizes his mistake and thanks kirby for freeing him from the crown evil will
in the end, Magalor is just another victim of Dark matter and Zero, and sad to know that deep down he wasn't that bad and that when you're fighting him you're actually fighting another victim controlled and influenced by dark matter ..
9:57 this attack really should've been made more difficult to dodge in ex mode somehow......like make the centre of the needles starts machine gunning energy spheres at you the moment the needles leave, or having the needles shatter into smaller projectiles half a second after they collide. This attack has some tragically missed potential for looking so awesome. Oh but gods do i love this game sooooo much, And playing as Magalor in star allies is great too!

I do think he is cute but only in his regular form prior to being posessed. The grotesque forms he takes after putting on the crown not so much unless you are the kind of guy who thinks giant flying eyeballs are cute.
Magolor Soul has one of the best boss intros in the whole franchise. Not only the cutscene but also his first 2 attacks, especially the black hole one. Just to show a bit of how powerful the Master Crown is at the beggining.

This boss is INCREDIBLE. I love it so much. I just have one problem - Magolor EX's shield has 5 points that each need to be shattered, and there are 5 super abilities. But... only 3 are used. It was such a missed opportunity imo. It would've given such an indescribable sense of completion if each one were used; that would've made it the *perfect* Kirby boss.
And it would work well with emphasis of how strong Magolor has become thanks to the Master Crown but being that he always possess abilities beyond comprehension. It'll just show how dangerous Magolor would be with the crown fully stuck to his grasp!

This boss is INCREDIBLE. I love it so much. I just have one problem - Magolor EX's shield has 5 points that each need to be shattered, and there are 5 super abilities. But... only 3 are used. It was such a missed opportunity imo. It would've given such an indescribable sense of completion if each one were used; that would've made it the *perfect* Kirby boss.
And it would work well with emphasis of how strong Magolor has become thanks to the Master Crown but being that he always possess abilities beyond comprehension. It'll just show how dangerous Magolor would be with the crown fully stuck to his grasp!

magolor did die his body faited away when his soul got destroyed
he escaped to a place inbetween time and space and made amusement parks for kirby.
He was transported to Kirby's performance if you look closely.
I would like to add that Galacta Knight, Magolor, AND Marx are all in the same place at once
