When me and my buddy swapped his IS, the tach and everything worked as is. All be had to do is jump one wire to start it and thats it!
Yes only the CSN switch needs to be shorted but we wanted to make this car function as OEM with reverse lights, the speedometer, and removing the automatic wiring!
Static Garage well i know the speedo works and reverse lights. We used a diff tranny. W58, if that makes a diffrance.
reverse has to get wired for the transmission to send the signal to the reverse lights. when it comes to the speedometer, the speed sensors send the information straight to the cluster so it will work, but it won’t be sending information to the ECU so the ECU will have no speed signal.

I'm looking to do a w58 manualswap on my 2002 automatic IS300. For wiring do I just need to do the reverse lights and short the black wired to make it think it's always in neutral? Or do I need to buy a manual ecu, wiring harness, programmed keys etc..?
figured it out yet? i have a p0500 code and my only option left is a m/t wiring harness

Did you have to cut the tunnel or put in a manual one? Looks like it just went right in no issues

Sorry! We’ve been so busy with everything due to the pandemic that we’ve been mainly focusing on the channel and not our merchandise. Once everything is getting to a smoother road we will start designing again!

I honestly have no clue. I know the GS300 has a similar process and share some parts but not everything.
Did this car have a TCM, Im just curious all the wiring work. No x-mas trees, looks great!
ECM is controlling both engine and trans which is why we swapped it in the first episode! Their is no TCM, all the wiring went straight to the ECM

Yes. It was a bit of a pain but we did it without cutting the rubber or the pedal itself.
Witch wire did you pull to the tach for speed signal ?
Only 02 and up with a manual trans need to be wired to abs pulse to work all 01 and all autos are already wired to abs.
What’s drive shaft did you go with?
OEM manual
