i have zero idea why a computer was opted instead of tx-55. i mean, i thought it was technical limitations.... but have you SEEN the tx-55 fight? the thing doesnt move or attack on its own.....what's doing the fighting are two laser turrets positioned above it while the gear itself remains completely immobile, legs ready to have explosives detonated.
Because the whole point of the operation was to destroy it before it could become operational? Also, the whole reason it's a stealth game at all is because the system couldn't handle a lot of bullets/enemies on the screen at once.
not like the tx-55 would have been impossible. the original boss was completely immobile. what did the fighting were two turrets. all you needed to do was attach explosives to its legs and it'd be dead. that can't have been hard for the nes/famicom to handle. it's literally two turrets on non-walking legs!
@@supersmashbro596 It was the specifics of the boss fight that took too much memory. The NES could've handled it, but it would've had to have been at the expense of other things.
The bass on this tune... Holy moley!
Personally, the music on the NES > The MSX.
Gfx wise SMS is better thou.
If you're still listen to this your awesome 👍
I still listen to this. 😊
I feel asleep

Might be the fact it was a specific order that took memory, or they thought like Nintendo did with Super Mario Bros. 2, it was too hard.
supersmashbro596 Funny thing in, in the unofficial sequel they had a bunch of the TX-55’s, so it’s not like the NES couldn’t have them on screen.

I agree,to be honest I'm quite disappointed learning this too
I was truly looking forward of seeing the metal gear but all we get is a giant television like super computer
Music was BOSSANOVA!!!!
Got it goin' bossanova!
Some of the best boss battle music ever for the nes. Shame the actual boss battle was so lame

@@supersmashbro596 IIRC it was because the sprite for the TX-55 was too large.
I only got this far once. ONCE.
how many times did you get that far?
