@@KS-jy5ox @K S I live in DFW. They talked about it all day on the radio and any search can bring it up. They spoke with the drone pilot as well as staff at the Star. They had to get it done by a certain time because they were having a boxing match there later in the evening. On the first attempt he hit the very first statue he tries to fly through. I don't have to be there to have the knowledge. But I do pay attention.

I love how the guy in the film room theatre called out his "mic check" numbers as "12" (Staubach), "22" Emmitt Smith, and "88" (Drew Pearson and Michael Irvin)!
Took 15 tries to get it all in one shot. That was their last attempt to get that shot.
Now despite me being a bears fan this is the most beautiful facility I’ve ever scene. Great hotel too.

I heard it took 15 takes to get this shot right. When I heard that I thought, ONLY 15??? I do drone videography for my job, and a shot like this would have taken me A WEEK AT LEAST to get right, and even then, it wouldn't look NEARLY as good as what this pilot put together! Amazing work! This pilot doesn't need a resume reel as a drone pilot....or a resume for that matter. Just send this link. The job is his/hers!

Not downplaying the skill involved,it's super impressive. But have you seen the footage of some of the drone racers? It's like this on steroids. There's plenty of people out there that could pull this off.
@@BzzK1ll You may be right. Drone racing pilots have an insane skillset and I wouldn't be surprised if the drone pilot here has a background in that. Drone racers have an amazing ability to fly the drone at incredible speeds with unbelievable precision in finishing the course. This shot required the added element of making sure the video was broadcast quality while also managing the precision of people needing to be in the right place at the right time to open doors, walk through the shot, and making sure the camera angles were just right. Either way...this is very impressive!

would like to know if this is an fpv drone or a dji drone? curious as to how he's getting this range if fpv?
Do some drones come with the capability to avoid obstacles, like with minor adjustments to the path? I can't imagine how else someone could fly so fast through tight spaces like that so perfectly.
Some drones do have obstacle avoidance. This one did not. Most of the smoothness was pilot skills, but there is some post take stabilization that smooths out things. Props to the pilot for sure 😁.

@@ryanmussell739 I don't think its a simulation, though I did at first. I'm just remarking that I doubt a human pilot is really controlling that drone in real time. Probably just giving it broad directives, like drawing a line through that truck's windows.

There's no comparison anywhere
The way that man thinks... this facility isn’t even about cost overall. He’ll somehow make a profit from it in the long run. With the omni hotel being there, and the money the school districts pay to play games, and state championships there. He’ll make profit. You can even sign up for memberships there.... so it’s way more than just a practice facility for the Cowboys. It cost 1.5 bill
The Star complex initially costs a little over a billion dollars. That doesnt count the Dr.Pepper Keurig office building that was built on the backside of the practice fields that you see at the end of the video. That cost him another 100million or so to build that building. There are still at least two more phases of The Star to be built.

it was Skycandy studios and probably Jaybyrd on the sticks and the quad is a Shendrones Squirt (or a clone) with a GoPro
It was a DJI FPV. They have a picture of him using it during the shoot.
It had to be an FPV, had to be digital, with a decent battery and range. As far as I know, the only commercially available option that fits is DJI’s FPV.
@@GDawg2K2 he used DJi goggles and air unit for vtx but that does not make it a dji drone LOL

This drone footage is exactly the reason the Cowboys haven’t had any playoff success in nearly 30 years. Oh and don’t forget to get that Ford F-150 plug in the shot. All flash, no substance. The players are treated like kings before they ever accomplish anything. Thanks Jerry.

When the drone flies through the gym equipment at the end it looks really janky just before it flies out through the door. Doesn’t look very smooth.
