Great video, thank you for the detailed review. Could you please tell me if these floodlights are compatible with Govee DreamView? Can I sync them with Govee TV products in order to reflect the colors of the TV screen?
The version I have are not dreamview compatible, but Govee have added the capability to some of their products further in the production cycles. For example the first versions of Lyra lights are not compatible but any bought last year are. It would be worth asking Govee direct on their app for the newest version of the floods as they may well now be integrated in to the build.
Thanks very much for the video. Two questions if you don’t mind; is the one wifi adaptor weatherproof at all, and how deep is the mains plug? Thanks again!
They don't have true white or tunable dedicated diode , which means your whites or soft whites will look cheap mixed colors. I don't understand how a company this size is still not putting true whites dedicated diodes.
Hello, how did you extend the wire to keep the Wi-Fi controller inside? Did you cut the wire? If so can you please tell me what kind of wire is needed to set them up? Or any tips will be appreciated? Have you made a video about this? Thank you
Sorry, I meant to reply to this last week, I just cut the wire, used some standard electrical cable to bridge the gap and kept the WIFI module in the shed sheltered. Just standard electrical power cable worked for me.
@@grai1053 ahh so I made a bit of a mistake. The cable actually detached from the WiFi hub part to let you feed it though a drilled hole and screw fit it into the hub. The flood lights I can to extend which was 4 wire
I have a very large pool area, can you add more lights to the same app? I could probably use at least 10 floodlights. Also, they would be mounted to the top of a screened in pool that is approximately 12 feet high, are these bright enough to come all the way down that distance?
Hi Anne, you can add more lights to the same app with ease, they are bright, They are more suited to ambience as opposed to fully floodlight light a traditional floodlight. But I would guess that they are suitable
Never tried it, I would imagine it is better to plug them in separately, However on some products there is the functionality to add further, I'd check their website or ask an expert on their app
Hi!, I don't think they would to be honest, but I do not 100% know the answer, try asking the Govee team the question in the app, they shoul dbe able to confirm either way.
can you control the color of each light? Like if I wanted an alternating red/green, or 4 different colors at once, can that be controlled? And, you said a meter between each light... how long is the original run from plug to first light?
Hi David, Yes absolutely you can control each individual light from the colour to the brightness - there is a shot of my setup right t the end of my String Lights video where you can see this. From the base plug fully unravelled to the first light I would say around 2.5 - meters, However the only issue with this is that the WIFI hub needs to stay inside, which can kind of limit you on this down to around 1.5 meters, just bare this in mind, I had to manually lengthen mine to keep the wifi receiver indoors.
You could use them indoors and you can set the brightness as you like. There are lots of Govee LED’s that could backlight a bookcase that you could attach underneath shelves or behind the case to back light it. But if these are the style you are after they can be certainly used and calibrated for indoor use with the app.
There is some flashing pre made scenes that strobe and there is also a microphone function where colours will change to the beat of music, short answer is yes!
Thanks. I just bought the 4 pack. Going to try them out as stage lighting in my bar in Panama. It's a small stage so these may be too much. We'll see.
i Awesome, I bet they will look great! My new place has a bar which is where my setup will eventually go - I'm def gonna look at the string lights too

How did you mount them being that it has very limited space to stick in a screw driver?
The flood lights are on stakes in the planters/soil
, the sting lights are mounted with cable clips nailed into the fence
@ourtwotube ahh I see. Thank you.

@@ourtwotube Thank you for replying. Does the wire have the standard 3 wires (L,N,E) or does it have 4 wires?
@@grai1053 I will check the din plug when I'm back, from memory I think it was 4 - but I will double check for you!

Is there a pattern that cycles a single light between all the light?
you can make or use most types of cycles, different or same
How do you connect two strings together? Do you have to plug in both strings?

can these sync with the permanent outdoor lights for the holidays?

Would these be bright enough for a large tree? Even if i used all on one big tree?
it's hard to say without seeing the tree but the will definitely add some ambience effects

Are they too bright for indoor use? Such as lighting a bookcase or something similar where LED strips wouldn't be viable?

Do they have flashing/strobe effect? Im looking for that beside colour changing for some house partying

@@ourtwotube thank you!!
Can you make these strobe?
not like a traditional strobe light, there are a couple of effects that move pretty quick and have some strobe effects but in blue and red colours
