The issue is not that people don't know what to do. They just don't know how to make themselves to it. Like my mother always said "You can bring the water to the horse but you can't make the horse drink it.".

Facts, but one piece is missing from this quote. You can absolutely make the horse drink the water, it just needs to be starved of water for days into weeks. Point is, we have too much comfort... you want to make yourself change, remove the mattress, sleep on the floor, sell the games and consoles, take away the LEDs and the late night sessions, take all the comfort out of your life. Without a doubt you will sharply change and force yourself to be better because you want the comfort back.

I often wonder on the fact that his words resonate with so many people, and some people disagree. I know some are contrarians or just haters without reason, but I really want to talk to the people who are successful and don't agree with his words. I wonder what kind of insight those people have.
Obviously his views are a bit on the extreme side, and people born into wealth would most likely be the only successful group of people who disagree. But if you were to ask any first generation wealthy person, or anyone who has achieved major success in a field of their acquaintance, they will always tell you that you have to do things you don't want, if you want to become the best: which is Goggin's core belief.
I think that most of the greatest people that could ever exist were too lazy to achieve their dreams but we are all humans and only hard work really pays off you never know until you get there

I’m still going to enjoy my shitty foods, but I make myself work for it now. It’s not just enough to buy a brownie, I have to burn it off and suffer before and after eating it. If I want seconds, I gotta double the pain. I won’t go on some Jordan Peterson all beef diet, but I’m going to drastically improve my physic. And then people are going to make fun of me and say I need to eat more, because they don’t want to deal with their own insecurities or weight.
