Fare thee well Spencey. You were destined to be an all time great. You would have been right there with Bundee Aki and Henshaw right now. You would have won 2 Grand Slams, 5 titles and so much more.
Nevin, is the most naturally talented athlete I ever had the pleasure of competing alongside or more often than not finishing second to, but more importantly was the most wonderful, funny and caring friend anyone could ever ask for. Immensely intelligent, dedicated to the sport, hugely loving and loyal to his family and friends. Thank you for this amazing celebration of his life, you will be forever in our thoughts.
i met him briefly around 2008 i think at a BBQ in Exodus Coleraine, he was as you know a christian we had a brief chat about life and he was having doubts etc but he stood firm and continued on the road and now hes in Glory with his Saviour i will see you there Nevin rest easy
Beautiful tribute to an amazing player, man, son, Brother & Friend. He will never be forgotten along with Noel and Graham. The Spence family will forever be in our thoughts. You always remember where you were and what you where doing when you here news like this, I remember pulling in on my home from Dublin and crying .......... Heaven is all the brighter for having them. Gone but never forgotten.
What a tribute , Emma has put it so well , the family can cherish the memories and Ulster Rugby have set an continual memorial to such a talented young player , like the ripples on a pond !
Wonderful wonderful tribute to Nevin and his family. Had the privilege of making my first visit to Ulster's new stadium last season and was struck by how warm and friendly the crowd were. Will be sure to visit the NS centre the next time I visit. Live life to the full indeed and the Spence's spirit clearly lives on. Well done to all involved.
The extraordinarily talented Ulsterman Nevin Spence was destined to replace Brian O'Driscoll as No.13 in the Ireland team. A wonderfully balanced, quality player, with power and raw courage, electric pace in attack, unyielding in defence. Never-to-be-forgotten Ireland rugby player.
