  • This is a new stove to me the MSR Simmerlite. I purchased it used on Ebay and after cleaning it up and re-lubricating the fuel pump it is working very well. I have found that it can be primed by using ethanol. I take a two step process to use the stove. First I fill the lower cup with ethanol and squirt a generous amount of alcohol on the burner head. Second I light the ethanol and let it burn completely. Third a start the flow of white gas to the stove and light a second match. Using this method I have had no orange flame starting the stove.

Great little video and great stove. I think your windscreen is upside down, though.😊

Nice video, friend. I own one of these too. It's a shame they discontinued them, as they pack down so much smaller than their other whitegas stove models.

@@ironearth7013 someone sent an offer that I accepted but hasn’t paid yet. I’ll probably be relisting it soon. They’re very rare these days.

Can you be precise on which fuel do you use? i am seeking to find white gas in portugal and since i cant come across with an apropriate translation i dont have a clue on what to use, and the manual only says it burns white gas. like can you tell me the brand of the fuel or the exact chemical formula?

White Gas is also called Coleman Camp Fuel. White Gas is 60 octane gasoline with no additives. Many white gas stoves can also burn gasoline for this reason.

White gas is also called petroleum naphtha. I hope this helps you.
