How to Become a Vampire | Adventure Mode (Quick Tutorials) Игры
So there *are* still dice. I thought they temprarily removed them for the beta. Been trying to find them and it's been a bit more of a pain than usual.
If I had to guess me made a fort and made the statues then visited it in adventure mode
I was actually transformed into a giant leopard seal. Considering my original form was a particularly weak goblin scholar, I think that curse might actually count as a blessing.
Was still able to ride my horse, somehow.
You can also knock over statues in monasteries to be cursed. I created a necromancer vampire on accident once by doing this. (I don't remember which one I became first but it does matter) You just need to stand next to the statue you wanna knock over, and interact with it to knock it over.
Yea this also works
I shouldve done this 🙄.. didnt know you could
It seems like you can't even interact with statues right now. What a joke.
Blind normally in fort mode; we purge the evil from these lands!
Blind in this adventure video: are the dark arts right for you?
Guys if you can't roll the dice check your hands. Your hands should be free to roll the dices.
Everytime i run into a "monastery" it turns out to be a temple raised with a statue of a dwarf being praised because of some deed... its been rather frustrating... ive ran into a 2 or 3 pedestals with no dice on it
@BlindiRL The curse and blessings aren't what you described, actually. The curse is a 20% chance that you roll a 0 on any skill check, basically auto-failing it. In combat this means a 20% chance of missing a shot entirely or a 20% chance of an enemy attack being a guaranteed hit on you. Which can easily get you killed. The blessing is the opposite: a 20% chance of a guaranteed 100 on any skill check, which can be very beneficial for you.
The curse actually triggers over a duration, so you won't fail just once. This means that every skill that requires a check has a 1 in 5 chance of fatal losing streak in combat. Inverse goes for the blessing, but because they're both multipliers, the curse will cancel out the blessing when they occur together.
@@enkephalin07 I didn't know it was a long timer, thanks!
Can you make one for how to become a necromancer?
Find a book that contains the secrets of life and death you can find them in necromancer towers or if you're lucky civs that have necromancers may have such tomes in their libraries. Remember your dwarf will need to be able to read. Not sure if this works in adventure mode but it does in fortress mode
@@willowyknight7645 adventurers can also read the slabs themselves!
They are usually in necromancer towers.
But not always, as they may have been stolen.
If you really want to be sure you can go through the artifacts of your world to find those that read "The secrets of life and death". Slabs are more practical than books as they are less numerous and usually guaranteed to spawn in tombs, but one easy way to save time with books is to hop to legends and find the necromancers' names through their creatures, before reading their page to check the books they wrote
@@arthurbarros5189 good to know my info was accurate
@@willowyknight7645 on fortress mode, you can get the slabs, but the dwarfs can't read them. You need a book or quire with the secrets.
Only adventurers can read the slabs directly. You can even write yourself books with the secrets of life and death after.
This vid is awesome!
Could you maybe cover where to find food since butchering isnt in game yet
go into the wilderness and put every type of plant in your mouth to see if it is edible, you can also steal food
@@rav6324 allbi can pickbupbare leaves can you eat them?
@@boblee8069 lettuce leaves are edible, but i dont know if other races like animal people can eat different leaves, i only had success with lettuce leaves while playing as a human and stole some cheese from a fortress
I havent explored any fortesses because i think i would get lost. But i havent seen a single food item in any town or camp ive been in. The solution im using right now is just loading with food items when i create my character as they are about 2 points each
@@boblee8069 Cabbage is everywhere in wilderness btw, maybe you should try cabbage
tried this, became a weremouse lmao
Perfect.
Mouse? WHERE?!
@@BlindiRL lmao , btw, do w(h)erebeasts get their stats increased like vampires ?
While the are in were form yeah.
What does being a vampire actually do for you? Any benefits?
They are a lot stronger and more agile, so yes there are bonuses.
Doubles your strength and agility
Vampires also dont need to eat nor drink, they only want to drink blood and get upset if you dont, but they dont die bc of it if im not mistaken, so youre not forced to murder someone for their blood
Zombies, necromances and every other undead creatures also become immediately neutral towards vampires(bc they are also undead) so being a vampire makes exploring tombs and evil biomes significantly easier
And lastly, vampires dont die of old age, so even if you retire your character he will still be alive somewere unless someone came and murdered them off screen
@@akiyo3243you can also drink blood without killing people.
I only remember being a mosquito man is one way, because it is funny.
you do not drown as a vampire if i remember correctly
Did you become a vampire in that stream I didn't watch? 😆
Nope. Some say I've always been one.
@@BlindiRL I could tell by how handsome you are.
@@BlindiRLwell, we have never seen you in front of a mirror.
Not in the sun.

Do you like garlic?
