Indeed... _"life happens"_ (it beats the alternative...) I still haven't touched Washburn - it's been sitting, relaxed, for several months... _"I have shamed myself..."_ 😅 Take care, @Staley 👍
Hey just having the guitar out is art to me!! Next time I'm near you I'll see if we can't arrange a meetup and I'll see if I can fix it for you while we meet. Mobile guitar repair!!! No need to shame yourself at all!
RUclips is an interesting beast. The videos you don’t expect sometimes do better than others but you gotta enjoy what you’re making. If I focused on a more narrow topic, I would be growing a lot faster but I wouldn’t enjoy it. Stick to things you like and if it does good cool. Otherwise, if you spend money and the views don’t come… That’s just a let down. Sometimes the videos I have spent the most time on, have gotten the least amount of traction and views but it marked an important memory for me.
Every bit of this is so true. I'd like to think that my channel isn't growing simply because it's literally my journal that I can look back on because I've been so sick over time. It's hard to not get really down about being chronically fatigued and feeling like I'm not getting anything done so this is my response to that feeling so that I can always look back on this time and know that even despite struggling as much as I have been that I am still getting s*** done
My authenticity maybe my lack of consistency in posting or on topics could definitely lead to lack of growth. That would be slower per say RUclips's algorithm or whatever.
Ultimately, I decided that I wanted organic growth and be able to be myself and not care about how my channel was received. Yes, I'd like to make money, but that's definitely not my focus here and now I just want to simply learn a trade and document my efforts over time and I think it's kind of interesting to see that I can teach myself something like this. Although I know learning it in a school setting or as an apprentice would be so much more effective and less likely to create mistakes. So it's an interesting challenge for sure. And in a way I'm really putting myself out there but I'm okay with that
I'm using my phone. It's a pixel 7. I have a phone holder stand thing. That can attach, It's like a clamp to whatever surface I want. You know it goes up to maybe 2 in wide but I clamp it onto my bookcase that's up against that wall. It used to be in a window. That was removed and it's now a bookcase and it just literally hangs out about head level and allows me to show the guitar from headstock to heel. I hope that answers your question
