I use a similar floor plan on some of my builds. You can split TC the wrap around and convert it into a funnel wall + widegap like shooting floor. You can build a few bunkered + pixel gapped loot rooms inside. The only tradeoff is that the upkeep is expensive with this build.

So the reason you don't put your hopup in the honeycomb is because it makes your base a free raid. And you can easily find which wall it is by sitting there and listening naked. Even if you can't when you blow front door you simply blow the wall of the hopup because that's TC wall. If you want to honeycomb great, but put a hopup where the 2 boxes are opposite the TC. Now as far as compacting your build. I love the widegaps, you can actually disconnect them and make this exact build using a 3 square triangle back design, with each side having a 30 degree triangle off the corner. There are some cracked 2x2 designs out there.
For the outer bedrooms I turned those into outer TCS 4 in total with the jump out as well and with those outers I made China wall not a bad base little expensive on upkeep but not overly dramatic when you got a good team
I really like the one square locker rooms in the first floor walk around. Cost is the only real thing holding it back, maybe knock off a layer of honeycomb since its made for smaller teams.
I usually ditch them add an Internal Turret system and leave gabs at the 3rd floor to see lower platform in case of a online raid I also double wall my base usually 2x2 extended, double coat It’s also needs like 10 turrets in order to be fully protected DO NOT FORGET TCS
What do you do about the spot under the bedrooms on top floor? People can ladder up and ez door camp. Anything I can do to keep people from climbing up and chilling on my base
its because he uses symetry when building so you build one side and it auto builds the same on the other side so just repeat the step shown and youll be fffine

the squares you put in the begining are not connected to anything so they despawn i dont know if they nerfed these kind of not connected block to decay now
I can't seem to get the placement right on the TC, it wont let me put down the floor as it clips into it. Its either place the TC and the few chests and none above or fewer chests on the foundation
First build the triangle ceiling and then put the TC down. You have to mingle a little to put all 5 boxes in. I've put it down in another order to make it work. The builder here has really good box placement imo
what is the reason of upgraiding ceiling to metal even tho there is 1 door to the same place ? and if its against mlrs the mlrs might miss be a little and hit the wall/door thats not metal but stone....
the design is very cool but for a duo the cost is very high and I think that even for a trio 11k metal and 24k stone without counting the hq is too much for three people.
@@jonny48 When you split the structure into the externals, the daily upkeep significantly drops. More building blocks on 1 TC increases the upkeep. The same amount on "X" TC's is cheaper.
I raided this build today in its early stage, it's my forth day playing and I pick the wall on the tc side with the 10 satchels. Got there just in time with the trio cooking metal and sulphur and was asleep. The game should be called rush...
To much expensive for duo/trio if you work or study, and give only 4 floors. The 3º floor as the defense floor against raiders inst good enough (dont give good vision). The build overall its good quality, but you need try incorporate external TC to help the cost.
Main problem with these types of bases is that they are so easy to raid, crazy expensive upkeep and build cost, and a relatively low raid cost to top it all off.
Nice build! the only thing i would recommend is to include a stability bunker in this base, i have built a base with almost the same foundation blueprint that includes a stability bunker at the entrance of the 2x2 that can seal your base in the early stages of a wipe.
@@breezy. Soft sideable...? Impossible unless you put a random players bed inside it because only you should have access inside your bunker... You mean if you are using them backwards...? Because the only possible way is if they blow straight thru! And I mean any side. If the person raiding you has enough explosives to get in, they are getting in.
I actually found this base during my latest wipe..20 rockets to TC 1 Sheetmetal door, 1 garage door, and then armored wall... Its so expensive for so little defence
Almost perfect design ! I'd say the only flaw is the building cost. Too much for a Duo/Trio on Vanilla, this is more of a Quad+ design. Unless you play a modded server then it can be perfect for Duo / Trio. (3x or 5x Servers). Anyway great video, very good design.
I can tell you got this base from someone else with the lack of future upgrades such as the sheat metal that should be in you honeycomb at your core still not a bad base
U need to edit more like u don't need to do all four side's one side is enough and cut the three other side's and enable no clip fly let us see that you build the other sides so i don't need to wast to much time watching same thing and it's easier to remember ❤
I wasn't paying attention to placement but me personally I like to have at least one bag/bed on each floor, reason being is if you are being raided you can get back into the fight much faster than having one bag in with your tc. For example you are being raided, you get killed but you have a bag/bed on shooting floor with gear by it, this will save you a lot of time having to run through your entire base having to open and close everything as you go. Also with multiple bags/beds you have more chance of defending your base, if they destroy your tc bag you can still spawn in on your other bags that you have in base and have a chance of defending, rather them destroying your one bed and you have no chance of defending.
Why would a duo or even a trio need 17 small furnaces… at least 2/3 of those spaces could have been used for lockers, fridge, battery, etc. and now with the barrels you could add 2 more barrels in a single triangle with a window frame
Umm is it just me or does he never do an actual walk through of of the base?! Your just speeding through the build but never show off what the base is and it’s functionality. The little fly around at the end was the terrible too. Show us what you’ve built man, give us a chance to see how it works.
Nahh u tripping. Some people play different, some progress fast, some guys slow, some play monthly/biweekly and some lives in snow so they get more farm. U have to look from different perspectives every base
This base is funny I still think we as rust players should never build these due to people like you posting them this would be good as a quick starter maybe but people know where tc is

Just farm and add automation to refill TC.

Ramped loot rooms in a 2x2 are for premadanas. You could fit 2 BBQ AND 2 small boxes in there.
