Jim, the front part of Haji Lane, with the boutiques and shops, is popular with locals. The further part is popular with tourists. Every time I pass by there, I imagine myself to be in Bali, Bangkok Sukhumvit or Boracay 😀
This is the scene in the weekend evening. When it gets dark later, the front part of the street will be empty as the shops will be closed. The far part of the street will be jam packed with people, standing room only. This street is awesome from evening till late night 😀
Wow this looks Like a cool and laid back neighborhood to shop around. I enjoyed seeing the local people there enjoying shopping. Did you buy anything there?
The shops there caters mostly to the younger ladies. I would have bought something if I have a young ....friend. This is a happy and hip lane. 2 streets away is Kampong Glam, a muslim heritage area where a popular Ramadan Bazaar is going on (I have a video on this). This whole neighbourhood is very active and busy at this Ramadan period 😀
All too often, we breeze through the front portion of Haji Lane and head straight to the pubs for the crowds, music and street art. In this video, I brought viewers to visit some of the boutiques and shops. All customers in the shops were either locals or asians and the shops were doing pretty well. I'm glad that the shops were happy to let me film them, that's why I captioned their shop names in appreciation 😊
It does look like a must-visit place in Singapore. The mix of shopping, dining, and art makes it a unique and exciting destination. I hope I get to explore this vibrant area and discover all that it has to offer. For now, I'll just enjoy this vide of yours.
I noticed that the shops were cool and well patronised by locals, so I decided to film them. I only filmed some shops to share a different aspect of Haji Lane that people don't normally see. Thanks for your wonderful comment brother 🙏😀
Rommel, you seem to know all the nice places to visit. I remember it was raining almost daily when you were here. Good that it wasn't raining when you visited Haji Lane 😀
@@SingaporeCityWalks Yes it was late January, first day back we can't go out with the rains and then the next days we went out to all great places even Bugis up to Fullerton haha. Then the day before my flight, I went alone to Tampines, Bedok, Botanic up to Holland Village via MRT then go home to Simei by night. Even at flight day still made walks around Simei. Wanna go back mate Rifle Range Nature park is a must to run back.
@@rommelflores2618 As a visitor, does Simei neighbourhood look interesting to you? I might do a walk there. I have also planned to go to Rifle Range Nature Park with a few childhood friends. If you are adventurous, I recommend to hike at Clementi Forest while it's still untouched by the authorities here. I'll go with you. The authorities have already begun to flatten Dover Forest East, to build HDB flats. What a shame.
@@SingaporeCityWalks Simei is good for me few metres away to Eastpoint Mall and the Hawkers plus the MRT station all good. Yes Clementi is kinda intriguing to me as well is it free to enter? Yes want to see some wildlife sightings take some photos and videos that would be awesome mate.
@@rommelflores2618 I went to Clementi Forest for the 1st time on a solo hike. See whether it's interesting for you. Video is here. ruclips.net/video/ZyaWtaCT7NM/видео.html

Thanks for watching. I saw your Haji Lane video. Try not to swing your camera from one side to another. If you need to, please do it smoothly. Cheers!
That was certainly quite different to most of the places that you have shown us. It certainly seemed to be popular with tourists.
