You are welcome. That is the method. Take the interval, 0 - 5, the values within the interval are 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. To find the median (mid value), we add 2 and 3 and divide the sum by 2 (2.5). Isn't it the same as adding 0 and 5 and then divide the sum by 2?

The idea is to get mid value. It doesn't matter whether it's n or n + 1.

Every statistical value is an approximation. Google it and you will see that both n and n + 1 are correct.
