Garth Daybell's account of how he learned Tammy died maybe fits a little too well with Chad Daybell's prepper blog post published a few weeks after Tammy's death. On rebuttal, Garth's co-worker MacKay Abegglen gave bombshell testimony that - just a week after her death - Garth said that HE discovered the body and that Chad was missing from the scene. At this time, we still don't know if Garth is going to be called back to clarify or come clean, so for now we're faced with the puzzle of reconciling these two versions of how Tammy's body was discovered.

Also, dead people dont roll out of bed. His conversation with Mackay was crucial because it was just one week from his mothers death, before he knew to lie or what the story was. I believe Mackay 100%. Chad was probably doropping Alex off at the church after the murder

I think the phrase “he didn’t know where his dad was” was because Chad was up in the “cozy cone” (ie not in the room or the main part of the house.) I think Garth went looking for his dad after and his dad probably came in the room and made up some story as to how they couldn’t call 911 yet because the police would believe Garth killed her or some other manipulation.

Emma will do anything for her daddy. She was involved. 1. Checked the wind direction in her father's computer day before Tylee was burnt. Said it was for a social gathering at her home. (At school so no social event on a school night. (Plus she doesn't have any friends!) 2. Wasn't alarmed that her father was in handcuffs. Nor him telling her he wouldn't be home ever again. No asking why. 3. Not shocked nor upset that there was human remains in backyard. What a piece of work she is. Can you imagine her teaching one of your children with her weird beliefs. I have heard parents at her school don't want her there at all. The pro Chad/Emma group of teachers and staff would be very few and everyone has probably been walking in egg shells. The defiant and blunt Emma we saw in the witness box would be now cold shouldering all the staff and teachers who testified on behalf of Tammy. I believe Garth definitely found her. However I believe Chad left Tammy's bedside lamp on for Garth to look in and speak to his mother. Otherwise why would Garth see his mother lying deceased if the room was pitch black.

Thus, they will lie as needed. The rest of us will have to appropriately mourn their mother. Hopefully this jury will see through all the smoke and mirrors Prior threw up (I.e., vomited) and find Chad guilty, regardless of whether he gets life w/out parole (which I suspect would be the case) or death. Alex went to a hotel that night even though he lived in the same town, and I can't for the life of me figure out why. Why get a hotel room when you can just go home? Did Chad go with him? I don't think Alex walked to Chad's house because his car was 2.6 miles away, and doing the math on when he got the call from Chad and when he was back on the highway means he would have had to turn around and head right back to the church the moment he arrived at Chad's if he was walking. It's more likely he turned his phone off and drove to Chad's. That would give him an hour to commit the murder before leaving, rather than a minute or two at best (or negative 11 minutes by my calculations.) So Alex wouldn't need a ride back to the church. But if Chad went to the hotel, the next question is why? Why that location? What were they doing? And if Chad wasn't home, why didn't Garth call 911 the moment he found his mom? Why did they both wait until 6am? I have so many questions after this testimony.

@@m0L3ify I suspect Chad arrived home shortly after Garth found Tammy. He wasn’t expecting Garth home so quickly. Therefore he was able to delay the 911 call while he sold Garth a story. On the 911 call Garth screws up and Chad takes over the call. Why Alex went to a hotel room is still a mystery but Garth got home earlier than expected, IMO, so Chad had some scrambling to do. On the witness stand Garths work friend McKay helped clarify the truth regarding who found Tammy. The numerous stories Garth put out there from his 911 call, to the 48 Hrs interview and finally the version Chad sold him, which Prior convinced him to go with to avoid perjury, impeachment and/or accessory after the fact, made finding the truth at first a challenge as Garth was meant to be very close to Tammy. Remember that before getting up on the witness stand both Chad and Prior intentionally kept Garth isolated from most of the facts of this case including those damning texts as they too were concerned, if anyone, he would be most likely to flip on them.
While Garth did give the 911 operator and Mackay both sanitised versions of the event by omitting the ghastly pink foam from the narrative one could argue this came down to Garth's desire to have others see Tammy at the end of her life more at peace than having been in distress and suffering in her final moments.
Garth wanted Tammy perceived as a happily married women passing of natural causes in her sleep in the marital bed beside her husband and not a woman alone from a broken home so he agreed to go along with Chads plan and narrative. Unfortunately, this meant Garth participated in the staging of his mother without realising in that moment he had now become an accessory after the fact.
Immediately the shock of finding his mother deceased Garth was easy prey for Chad. Chad likely gave Garth a version he knew would pull him in as would best honour how Tammy would be perceived by the LDS community after her death knowing Garth was close to Tammy and clearly, he bought it.
Chad acted out of pure instinct to distance himself from Tammy just as Garth pulled in from work as he did not want to be seen with the body when Garth discovered it. He allowed Garth to find her but remained close walking in shortly after as he knew Garth would want to call 911 if he didn't.
Heather Daybell (Chad's brother Matt's wife) said Garth and Tammy were very close and that of all the Daybell kids he was the one she was most concerned for in all this.
If Garth was so close to Tammy, why would he not feel bad to lie in court? Because Chad put Garth in a position where he now had to save himself from prosecution as an accessory after the fact. He clearly felt able to justify having to perjure himself possibly due to his devout Mormon beliefs that he was standing in front of a gentile court system which matters little in the grander scale of accountability to them.
Thanks DP you have made the most sense of putting together how all the evidence, how the LDS fits into it, how the witness statements fit and how the legal system processes it all.

Interesting. I guess i see it as very risky that Chad would take the risk of leaving Tammy's body alone... knowing Gsrth was coming home & knowing he'd likely call 911...

So when he told the friend what happened it was about a week after the murder. They thought they were off scott free after she was buried. They were not concerned until the exhumation 2 weeks later. 👀

I agree with your analysis. Emma to me seemed very eager to testify whereas Garth seems to not feel comfortable about answering any questions! I also agree with about Tammy being poisoned. They needed 2 people to restrain her while giving her the poison. also Chad was not home because he was taking Alex back to missionary about 2 miles away. Chad had his cell phone turned off..whereas Alex did not..this would put Alex at the crime scence, clearing chad. Love your videos..thank you sir!

Right -- the foam and the towels never mentioned by Garth. And the hours between when Garth got home and 911 was called. And I bet you are right about Chad being the coward staging a "normal night."

These kids emote nothingness. It’s an emptiness like nothing I have ever seen. Coached? This is way deeper, imo. They are brainwashed. Weird cult brainwashed. Great video though:)

Agree. It's like they think they have no identity without Chad. If he is gone they are nothing but if they woke up it would be best. They have been conditioned by their parents their whole life to believe and obey Chad.

Overall this is a no-brainer for the jury. Garth's friend has no motive to lie. Let's say Garth lied to his friend about when he discovered his mom. That doesn't make any sense either. I'm quite sure the prosecution is looking into charges on these two children. I'll be so happy when this is all over!

I guess for me the bottom line is, there are three people living in the house..One has been killed, one doesn't have gumption or motive and the other has $430,000 reasons plus a Goddess waiting for him. Premeditated murder as far as I'm concerned.. Like everyone here, I love trying to piece together how it all went down. Absolutely love your theories. Once lover boy is safely behind bars, hopefully truths, will come out. I doubt all the kids are buying their dads innocence.

He’s not pressing him to lie. The silver shed was different than the place, the pet cemetery, where pets were buried, and JJ was buried.

he's really really pressing him to try to remember or admit if other raccoons could have been buried in the pet cemetery... to match what was in the raccoon text.

Law enforcement needs to keep a very close eye on Emma Garth and Emma's so-called husband, they are a chip off the old block if they are teaching any of your children, take them out of school ASAP

I agree. I think maybe his Dad said 'we have to lie for your Mom's dignity' type of spiel. 'She'll be embarrassed in the community if they think we were in different beds and she deserves dignity in death and we have to protect her memory.' etc.
