  • Hello guitar students! This is the guitar part of the debut grade song you might be learning - please practice along with the track and you can watch and learn how I am playing the different parts also.
    TIPS:
    _______
Eleanor Rigby is a fast-paced song so make sure your right hand is keeping up with those repetitive strums - there are simple chords shapes (intro & outro) and the verse has the notes on the high E string that go back and forth.
It's a good idea to count the strums in the verse section as the changes are not simple - there are 5 bars (repeated) and the C chord shape plays from the 4th bar for 6 beats. The E minor returns for just 2 beats in the 5th bar.
The transitions into the other parts are key as well so do practice those and follow the structure well. Keep in time with the tempo and the ticking metronome is there to guide you. Practice along with the track until you can play all the way through.
