Hi cruise, Have you ever thought of doing a "commuting by E-bike".
SUPER Fast and less sweaty XD
It would be really cool to have a head to head battle between
      MTB - ROAD - E-bike
Comparing Speed - Comfort - Sweat (by weighing your clothes before and after the ride)

Could you do a video about your camera setup for your commute?
Do you like to use the chest mount, handlebar mount, saddle mount, etc to get different angles.
How many cameras do you use?

I'd definitely recommend getting something like a PitLock for wheels and maybe saddle if it's expensive. You can then ditch the cable lock and it saves you time locking up.

But if you want a small saddle bag with co2 and a spare tube, that's will help , I also have a bike light , for when it gets dark , tail light is also good and water if you really pushing it

I really like the Uniche ratchet tool that you showcased. I have other ratchet tools but their handles are too small so you don't get much leverage/torque. The Uniche tool looks like the handle is hefty enough to provide a good grip and torque. I'm going to look into purchasing one right now.

I had a multi-tool that was almost as small as a big coin. On a bike trip to Ireland it got confiscated at the airport. My most important "tool" added lately is a Garmin Varia rearview radar, but i still have a mirror on the drop end. I go as light as possible with my bags, but still manage to carry a bunch of stuff (pump, tool, patch kit, rash kit, phone, tube, id, some money). Weighs about a pound.

The Uniche tool looks good, nice design. But they don't seem to be available in Europe. On commuting bags, my absolute favourite is the Ortlieb Vario, you can use it easily on a rack or convert it within a few seconds to a backpack, its great for day rides and hike-bike trips.

    3 things
Context - I keep my bike in a bike shed during work in a semi-secure car park. "Cars need a pass to get in but pedestrians can just walk-in"
1 - I keep my pump + lights on my bike.
Reason - If my bike gets stolen I won't need the lights or pump anymore XD
2 - I keep my Lock on the bike-post at work instead of carrying it on the bike anymore
3 - Have you ever thought of getting a pannier rack
    ?
I use to commute with a bag and found that the sweat on my back + the extra weight was always bothering me.
An extra tip I do, for those who have storage at work.
Keep spare tools at work rather than always carrying them. Spare tubes, more tools spare pump etc I just keep a bare minimum during the commute

I think shimano make a nut for the axle, instead of 15mm wrench key it's also can be use with 6mm allen key. This is a very good topic especially if you want to minimize the tool you have to minimize the parts of the bike as well. In my case I try to have less variety of bolts/nuts that attach in my bike. For now only use 3mm,4mm,5mm,T25 for most of the bolts.

    • @TwoWheelCruise
      @TwoWheelCruise  3 года назад

That's a good point, the more consistent the less parts needed.

What would you recommend for mounting the action cam? On the bike on your body or on your helmet?
    Here are my thoughts:
On the bike: needs DiCi mount. Stable, but shaky footage.
On your body: need to buy some vest or strap to hold it in place. Steady footage (i suppose)…🤔
On the helmet: need to buy some sort of strap to hold it in place, maybe not so shaky and will see similar to your field of view. You look funny.😅
What do you think? Will using it for bike commute (same distance as yours ~40k 2-way)

Is the u-lock stand a bit diagonal? I did buy a u-lock, but it gets on the way of the bottle if I try to put normally. I thought about putting the stand in a different way, but it might get in the way of my legs. Though overall here in Japan it might be a bit excessive. What I do (the cable that came with the u-lock, plus another descent password cable) for when I park in front of a store is probably still excessive, though I will probably keep looking like this for now. Cycling with the u-lock is added weight I definitely don't need on my 40km+ rides. I am sort of forced to use an outside parking lot for now, so for the nights I do use the u-lock too.

    • @TwoWheelCruise
