To solve the missing dollar riddle, we are not given all the factual data we need to know to be able to actually solve the puzzle, here having to calculate the sum of the bill, not the total amount but rather from the location of the money as physical items and not numbers. But how are we supposed to know that? Nothing is properly hinting or stating that we don't have to calculate the total amount but literally track every bill in everyone's pockets. How is this maths? I've had real math tests with marbles bags a long time ago that were stated and given to us with way more context and data than this riddle. This issue is the same for maths as a whole : that no matter how long someone spends and tries to explain it to anyone, they will only explain maths from their point of view. Meaning that trying to explain maths by voluntarily omitting data is in fact misleading, because someone who knows maths expects the other person to know the data they're given beforehand when they don't, and that is why maths really need to be taught in a better way, even today.
