If I use CAS for a long time, clicking through all the clothes (I've got a lot of CC) the game gets the error code 12 even under 1 hour. That's why I restart my game after using CAS for a while, saving the created sim as a pre made sim under the bin and loading them up later, after restarting the game. Trust me, you guys don’t want the 64-bit version. The Sims 3’s 64-bit version for Mac sucks. It is riddled with bugs that haven’t been fixed. The eyelashes are blocky, lighting glitches galore, terrain paint doesn’t work, crashes are more common than they were before, you can’t interact with the oceans or collect bugs (preventing you from progressing in multiple aspirations and rendering the World Adventures and Island Paradise expansion packs USELESS), you can’t fish, some worlds don’t load, the audio is spotty and has “popping” sounds, the launcher doesn’t work properly half the time, and much more. They truly half-assed the game and now Mac players are stuck with this buggy game that doesn’t even LET you use core features that you paid for. You literally can’t interact with the ocean. What’s the point of Island Paradise anymore? Trust me when I say it’s better if EA left the Windows version of TS3 untouched. Now my favorite game is basically ruined unless I buy a Windows PC.
Oh yeah, I am aware of the issues that Mac users have with the 64-bit. However, in the video, I only expressed me wanting the 64-bit to fix the save error code problems because it's annoying. I would hate to have the issues that comes with the 64-bit. I would rather have EA fix the 64-bit issues and then bring it over to window users. That will never happen though. But, I would love to see a fix for the Mac users! No game should be left like that.
Mac version sucks because they had to replace OpenGL with Metal (Windows version would still run DirectX9 no matter what). Also when Apple removed 32bit app support they also removed all depencies related to 32bit. So EA had to basically build the app almost from scratch which resulted into the infamous bugs related to fishing, collecting... This wouldn't be the issue on Windows because it has all depencies and it's way more backwards compatible than MacOS. But I don't trust EA, they always manage to screw things up.
@@ProtectusCZ The problem isn’t Metal. The previous Macs could run the original version fine without native OpenGL support. It’s specifically the conversion from 32bit to 64bit. They basically copied and pasted their code over and turned it into 64bit rather than remaking the game (which, since they already have all the assets and base code, would be easy). Metal made the game faster, the only issue is their conversion style made the game unplayable. I’d they actually remade it, the game would run. If you dig into the code, a good chunk of it is the code from the original 2009 Mac version of the game where they literally had the game running off Cider (basically Wine wrapper). It’s basically slapping a new label on it and making it so the game plays, even if it isn’t playable.
Love the sims 3 but I always get this error code “the instruction at 0x00000 reference memory at 0x00000. The memory could not be read.” I have no idea why this pop ups
I've found a weird thing with errortrap, when my sim just stands talking to people she is reset because it thinks she's idle. Very weird, I uninstalled because I wasn't sure how to fix that. I still have overwatch and master controller.
I don't know why but my game doesn't make the ".backup" version in the folder, I always do "save as", does anyone know why and is it bad I don't have it?
That's weird. Typically, when you save your game it's supposed to automatically make a back up save file. Try renaming your save file and then check again!
@@CordeliaFox It won't create a backup when you chose save, only save as. So, continue to save your game with save as. This isn't a bad thing though! If you're able to save and exit, you're good.
Error code 12 is just a B! Adding more ram did not work for me: I still crashed. Sims 3 is an awesome game but they will not make it 64 bit. Someone said that Sims3 the last patch made the game 64bit it does not seem like it to me.
This is why I don't play the Sims 3 anymore. I shouldn't have to learn how to code to play a Sims game, which is why Sims 2 and Sims 4 are superior to Sims 3. Out of all Sims content, 3 would be my favorite, but it is not made for casual players. I have a full time job. I have a fiance. I have responsibilities that make it impossible for me to sit down for weeks at a time just to learn game coding to make NRAAS work. Sure, it has "documentation," but none of it is written in human language. Sims 2 and Sims 4 mods are. They're so effortless to download and setup, because the modders who made them wrote everything in human language. They made mods flawless for every type of player, from the most casual who only wants one mod to the most tryhard who needs over 300. Sims 3 modders did not do the same. Either because they simply refused to make it for casual players, creating a gatekeeping community instead, or because it's possible EA made it impossible for their code to be translated into actual language. Either way, it's not something I can ever play again unfortunately
I agree with you on some aspects. For example, no one should ever feel the need have to learn how to code a video game because that is the video game developers job. However, this is EA we are talking about. They suck as a company. I wouldn't just say it's the "Sims 3". It's EA's poor job of optimizing the game and that applies to the Sims 2 & 4 as well. The Sims 2 has an unresolvable pink soup issue and the Sims 4 is way too laggy for it to be the latest Sims video game. The entire Sims franchise has a lot of issues. And, I think the Sims 3 modders are great! I wouldn't down play their work ethic because it seems harder to understand. It's probably harder to make mods for the Sims 3 due to coding.
@@Simphora I'm sure the modders worked way too hard to try to fix something that just isn't possible to fix, but it would have been nicer for them to at least describe/explain their mods in a language someone can understand. While I can get that in game language might have to fit the terrible coding language EA used, their documents are still impossible to read. They didn't do anything to make the mods understandable to non-IT gamers. I am more of an IT oriented gamer, built my own PC myself, etc, but there's still no way for me to understand the mods of 3. And there's also a lot of older players who had been playing from 1 who have no idea what the word "technology" even means, like my mother. The least the modders could have done was explain it in ways that the older generations could still understand, so they would never miss out on their favorite games. RUclipsrs do a whole lot better effort in explaining how it works, though, that much I can say. But it's just disappointing that it has to come from a non-NRAAS modder, just feels odd to not have the creators try to word it better on their sites
@@nyxnightmare3542 Absolutely! You’re on point because I would also consider myself an IT oriented gamer and sometimes mods can be hard to understand like NRAAS + the other modules with it. It’s so broad! 👏🏼

@@ProtectusCZ Wow! 😨
@@acwesty yet Metal caused visual bugs not present in the original like low res shadows no matter the settings
I configured Sims2, 3 & Medieval for Windows 10, so you can play with discs.
I play Sims1 on an older laptop though.
My TS3 will not launch at all, and when I look in deviceconfig. file absolutely nothing shows up. Do i have to buy it again?
No. I would suggest repairing the game.
@@Simphora how do I repair , I have tried repairing it through the EA app and it has done nothing.
@@nlvyn2568 If you’ve already tried through the Ea app, you might have to reinstall the game because the ea app glitches.
@@Simphora I have done that about 3 times , the launcher opens and then when I press the play button it does nothing but says it’s open in EA.
Love the sims 3 but I always get this error code “the instruction at 0x00000 reference memory at 0x00000. The memory could not be read.” I have no idea why this pop ups
I’ve never heard of that! 😳
@@Simphora yeah if I play the game for three hours or less it pops up and shuts down my game😔
Love this video 😁
Thank you! 🥰
I've found a weird thing with errortrap, when my sim just stands talking to people she is reset because it thinks she's idle. Very weird, I uninstalled because I wasn't sure how to fix that. I still have overwatch and master controller.
That is odd. I do not use NRAAS Error trap anymore as well because it kept spamming notifications, which got annoying. 😂
awesome video
Thank you!
I don't know why but my game doesn't make the ".backup" version in the folder, I always do "save as", does anyone know why and is it bad I don't have it?
That's weird. Typically, when you save your game it's supposed to automatically make a back up save file. Try renaming your save file and then check again!
@@Simphora it did not work :( , I tried save and quit, and it created a backup, but when I click save as it still is not creating a backup
@@CordeliaFox It won't create a backup when you chose save, only save as. So, continue to save your game with save as. This isn't a bad thing though! If you're able to save and exit, you're good.
I thought there is a 64bit for pc? I saw it on origin but haven’t checked on ea app
In the video, I mentioned it’s only for Mac users not Windows.
Error code 12 is just a B! Adding more ram did not work for me: I still crashed. Sims 3 is an awesome game but they will not make it 64 bit. Someone said that Sims3 the last patch made the game 64bit it does not seem like it to me.
I agree! Those error codes kill my motivation. And, we’re probably never going to get the Sims 3 in 64 bit, but I will continue to dream! 🤣
For some reason Regul can’t find my saves/ts3 game
Not sure why that is happening. I would suggest downloading the lastest version of the program.
@@Simphora yeah I did, today was my first day ever downloading it. Even tried the other versions, very confusing
Yesss bestie! You always coming thru with the tips. We appreciate you
Anything for you bestie! I appreciate you. 🥰
can you please add a link for the simler90's extra mod beause the steam one is broken
My newest save file isnt showing up on the regul save cleaner
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS GOOOO BESTIESSSSS

EA come get her fr
I would be too opinionated for them. 🤣
